[xii] late

yongguk darted towards the gates of his college, his jacket sliding off his shoulder as he tried his hardest to bundle his papers together. he was late; and he wasn't in the mood for the hundreds of students in his lecture hall to watch him walk in and sit down uncomfortably in a random spot.

"ah crap ah crap ah crap..." these were the consequences he faced for staying up all night and talking to sanggyun. "where is my pen- got it! but my notebo-"

he suddenly collided straight into someone else, causing the person to stumble back as yongguk flew straight to the ground. damn my weak body.

"sorry, i didn't see where i was going," the person called out gently, and yongguk winced as he looked up to see who it was he needed to scream at.

his voice was pushed back down his throat as his eyes met the man's handsome features.

yongguk's face went red as the incredibly tall man bent down, his plump lips seemingly teasing yongguk as he spoke. "your papers are everywhere... i really am sorry."

snapping out of his trance with the man's slender eyes, yongguk quickly crawled onto his knees, shaking his head. "n-no, it's fine... i, too, uh... was rushing."

the handsome stranger handed him his things, smiling sweetly at him. "we live in a busy world, hey?"

"y-yeah," yongguk laughed, his ears going red as he stood up with the stranger. "um... are you in your third year?"

the boy shook his head. "fourth. i'm assuming you're third, then?"

yongguk nodded happily, clearing his throat. "k-kim yongguk. i'm an exchange student from china."

"oh? intriguing," the man shook his hand and smiled. "i'm kwon hyunbin, in my last year of studying my degree."

"lucky," yongguk fawned over him, before shaking his head. "i-uh, i gotta get to my class. i guess i'll see you later?"

"of course," hyunbin nodded at him, his smile lingering. "kim yongguk."

the younger boy blushed, waving before scurrying off.
