Anthony's POV
"I'm sorry about Kalel, Ant. She was too young." Ian's comforting words were reiterating in my ears. It had been a week since Kalel died, but everyday I remember the last words she said to me:
"I'll be back soon, look after my babies. Next time you'll see me, I'll be all in white."
But the next time I saw her, she was in white, but not in the way I expected. Today was the 10th of October 2015, the five year anniversary of us, and she lay before me, on the day we were supposed to become one. And there she was, in white, a wooden door stood between me and happiness. Buki gave a solemn meow, a final tribute to her best and only friend. Although Pip and Buki were just cats, I could tell something was wrong, Pip wasn't his bouncy self, and Buki seemed less conceited than usual. Ian rested his hand on my shoulder, and gave me a tissue to dry the tears I was so desperately trying to keep back, and as they placed the lid over the coffin, I stood up from my chair, walked over to the stand, and unfolded the paper in my pocket.
Ian's POV
I could see his eyes were attempting to let back the floods of tears I knew were behind them. He lay the paper on the stand, and I glanced to Mel. She and Kalel, although they had their falling outs, were great friends, and sensing her distress, I took her hand as Anthony began:
"How do you start a life story about someone who had so much more left to give? Kalel had so many dreams and ambitions, and getting married was just the start. Without her positive attitude to everything, and her constant support, I don't really know how I would have even continued with the Smosh channel, and everywhere I look I see her, I can't even look in the mirror without thinking about her. She was the one I always turned to... And now, when I need her the most. She's not here." Anthony choked back his words, but bravely continued:
"'And it hurts. It hurts that I can never see her face again. The face that made me into the man I am today. The face that cured so many troubles, so many heartaches, so many pains. The face that I love so much."
However, after holding it in as much as he could, the dam in his eyes broke and the tears dropped onto his black suit. I let go of Mel's hand, and rushed up to the podium where Anthony was standing, but he turned his back on me, and ran off, and I didn't see him until the following week.
