Cliffhanger

I was the oldest out of three girls and the only family I had close to my age were two boys. So you can imagine that I was a pretty big tomboy. I hated being a girl however because my grandmother treated me different then the boys when I was no different then them! The more indifferent she treated me the more rebellious I became.

So one day me and my two cousins decided to go exploring in the horse pasture. It was a beautiful day out the sun was shining and the horse pasture was at its prime of beauty! The birds were singing and the rabbits and squirrels were running and hiding as we spooked them from their hiding spots.

In my eagerness to get away from  my grandmother and be one of the boys I decided that me and the boys should do something they had never done before. Climb the pasture the hard way by going up the cliff, they had never done it before and I wanted to prove that I could. It was a good thirty-five, fourty foot drop, and the thought of climbing it and making it up filled my veins with adrenaline.

They both agreed to do it, even though I could tell that my idea of a fun time scared them. So we started climbing, it wasnt as easy as I thought it would be either. The youngest of us all made it up first because he was the lightest and the gravel slipped less under his footing. My other cousin was ahead of me and because I was the oldest and weighed more I was last.

As my cousin got to the top I started struggling, with all of our weight and scrambling the cliff wouldn't hold me as well and I kept slipping. Then as I got to the top, thats when I slipped, screaming, all I could think was I am dead!

I felt a hand grab my arm, and when I looked up the oldest had grabbed my wrist as his younger brother was pulling his pants! It took them a good ten minutes but they managed to pull me over the side. That was the last cliffhanger I ever put them or myself through! If it wasn't for them I would have surely fallen and died from the fall alone. That was the day I learned its all fun and games until someone could get hurt.
