Paper Boats

prologue : Ethan

I still remember.
Memories keep flowing to my head. Yes! I'am sure that it was all real..He was real, everything was real.

It was 6 years ago when I was only 10, I ran outside without my mom knowing only thinking about that river near where we live. So I sneakily headed to the river.. once i made it there.. I could already see the beautiful sight.. the stars in the sky were already beginning to shine and the moon has already started to replace the sun.. The river reflected the moon so beautifuly... i headed even closer to touch the waters..

I dipped my fingers to touch the water when suddenly I can hear something coming towards me..

I looked up.. and to my surprise.. i saw a wolf.. ofcourse i was scared.. i didnt know we had wolves near where i live.. i stepped back slowly.. one step at a time.. hoping it doesn't come after me.. slowly i walked backwards trying to avoid it.. WAIT ARE THOSE WINGS? I stopped my backwards walking and instead observed the creature as it finds its way to get a sip of water from the river.. I looked closer and I saw more interesting features.. It was as white as snow.. It had beautiful blue eyes.. at that moment i just kept on making sure that this was reality.. a wolf with wings?? And.. wolves travel in packs where are all its other friends??.. I then replaced my backwards walking to just plain aproaching it.. I tried not to scare it.. The wolf oddly had this calm nature.. It doesn't seem to be easily startled.. I came closer approaching the wolf.. i observed it with full caution.. and then it looked towards me..

I was startled.. and then..

*splat! Splash*

My clumsy 10 year old self fell into the river..

good thing i was taught how to swim at a very young age and I was lucky this river didnt have a raging stream..

When i emerged from the water i saw something really really WEIRD

Is... IS THE RIVER GLOWING?

i looked as far as the eye can see and all parts of the river were really glowing

It glowed a bright blue color which made the environment even more beautiful.. i looked down and saw something shining even brighter.. it was coming from a source.. so to my curiosity i swam deeper into the river

I swam I swam and I swam.. and the light keeps geting brighter brighter and brighter..

Until

I reached..

The surface??

I was diving down right?? Not going up???

I decided to go with it anyway

I looked around..

Odd.. its not the surface where i first started diving.. this wasn't the river i dived in

I went to land looking around

And.. it was true.. this wasnt the same river.. this wasnt the same environment

"Hey!"

I quickly looked back jumping..

It was a boy.. someone my age..

His hair was brown with shining blue eyes, just like the river and the night sky. He looked a bit shorter than me, not surprising since I tend to be taller than the boys my age.

"Hey" i responded

"U are soaking wet.. did u swim in the river?" The boy asked

"Well i was diving down and i just kinda ended up here.. im so confused.." I complained
