ABSTRACT
Every little thing about this place sucked.
Draco moved here for a fresh start, away from England, away from that stupid school, and away from his family. But all he got was a beat-up apartment which was barely big enough for a bed, a fire escape right outside and a stupid puppy without a limb. The only place he found solace in was the tiny escape where he read books, smoked, and scribbled in his tiny notebook.
There was something about that metal area that held a certain allure to it. Maybe it was the sea breeze, maybe it was the isolation, maybe it was the view- he didn't know. He just knew that this was his favourite place, even though it had been barely a week since he came here.
The truth was, he'd rather be there all alone in that place rather than work at this stupid hipster café cleverly named 'that café' where every single straight girl and gay boy who came in fawned over his accent and obnoxiously blonde hair. Not that he was complaining about that.
He kept glancing at his watch, counting down the seconds before he could go, and boy, were they long.
And literally a minute before his shift ended, he heard the bell above the door ring and it took everything in him not to scream.
Instead, he took a deep breath, counted to ten, and plastered the biggest smile he could on his face and turned around.
"What can I-"
The girl standing in front of the counter left him, the Draco Malfoy, speechless. And not because she had the darkest hair you could think of, or the bluest of eyes you could imagine, or the most beautiful face you will ever see. But because she was familiar.
