"Hey, my names Damion. My power is invisibility," he says glancing my way and giving me a toothy smile.

I smile back at him, so that's why he likes 'becoming practically invisible' and minoring in stealth. I laugh to myself, he literally copied my idea of just being yourself and making classes relate to your power.

I also realize that's why I didn't see him this morning. He was invisible.

My smile grows and I twiddle my thumbs, just being in the room with him makes me an anxious, happy wreck.

"I was going to become invisible so I wouldn't walk in late," he laughs and everyone else joins in. "But you know, it might make some people nervous if the door just opened and a chair was pulled back." We all continue to laugh with him. I glance around and see all the girls eyeing him. I think I might have a little competition, lets hope he likes me.

"So anyways," he continues, "I am pretty experienced in invisibility. I used to not be able to control it when I was young, but I've gained full control now. Let me show you all a demonstration."

We all look at him as he stretches out and he's gone. I blink to see if I'm imagining it, but no, he's not there.

The whole class applauds. We've all never seen anyone with the invisibility power before. The most common ones are natural powers. Jayme and Sophie, fire and water, are most common.

My range of power comes next. Lots of people have earth related powers. This is why I am lucky enough to have my speciality training Thursday nights. Some types of powers don't get that because there's not enough people.

I stop daydreaming and focus more on Damion. I've never seen anyone go invisible before. I scoot my chair closer to get a better look, when a feel a hand brush my shoulder.

I jump back and Matt gives me a weird look. "Are you okay?" he asks. "Don't worry about me, I'm good." I say turning my chair away from him, bringing it closer to the wall.

"Damion?" I whisper. "Was that you?"

"Hey," Damion says, his mouth brushing against my ear. I blush and turn towards the direction I think he's in. "Come a little closer, I want to show you something."

I glance back at Matt and see he's focused on the empty chair Damion left behind. I decide to go for it and scoot my chair closer towards Damion's voice.

As I keep going closer, I can start to see him. It's like his power is being stripped, layer by layer, until you can finally see him.

I look back and see Matt looking around confused. "Am I invisible now too?" I ask, laughing. I walk towards Matt and wave my hands in his face. He laughs. "Yes you are. I guess you would've realized by now, you know  if he saw you." I glance back over at him and smile.

"Damion?" The professor calls.

"Gotta blast," he says, squeezing my hand right before he rushes away. He quickly runs back to his seat. My heart races as I see the papers flying in his now invisible wake. I've never felt this way about a boy before.

I quickly take my seat and move my chair back to its regular position. I don't want to be standing up oddly before the invisibility wears off.

"Here!" He says, reappearing in his seat, turning my way and giving me a knowing smile.

Matt watches Damion smile at each other and then turns to look at me. He studies my face for a bit and I feel self-conscious under his gaze. I blush, "what the heck are you looking at?"
