Finally, after the whole mess and all the doubts and all the ifs they were finally together. Knock had finally been able to come to terms with his feelings and admitted that what he wanted, who he wanted, was Korn. Now they were in their honeymoon phase. All loving smiles and adoring gazes. It was slightly sickening for their friends who most of the time tried to leave them alone. And, well, Knock had practically moved into Korn's room so there was that. Basically, the two of them seemed to be joined at the hip.

However, there was one problem. At first it hadn't bothered Korn. Knock was his. But as the days passed and turned into weeks, which in turn started to turn into months, there was one thing, one seemingly tiny little thing that really shouldn't bother him now that Knock was his, finally his. And that was the fact that, even though they were very much in love, Knock refused any public displays of affection.

He would still hang on Korn in the same way that he had always done, and Korn basked in the feeling, but whenever Korn tried to take his hand or leaned in to close to his face Knock would immediately back away. In the company of their friends, who had helped them get together, Knock acted like the sweetest boyfriend and Korn could hardly believe his luck, but out in public there was a clear line drawn.

There was a reason of course. While Korn had had boyfriends this was the first time for Knock and even though he loved Korn and had no problems showing just how much in the privacy of their rooms, outside in public was a very different matter. And they had talked about this. Knock had told him of his worries and his fears, most of them at least, and Korn had understood of course. Or at least he thought he had.

At first is was easy to ignore the flinches and draw backs whenever he got too close or tried to touch him. He had himself been there, years ago, and he understood. It wasn't easy, accepting things about yourself that deviated from the norm, and he understood. Really, he did. But it was getting to him.

"YOU KEEP HIDING! DO YOU THINK I DON'T HURT! DO YOU THINK IT DOESN'T BREAK MY HEART! I LOVE YOU BUT WON'T EVEN ACCEPT ME!"

"Korn.."

"NO! I'VE HAD ENOUGH, KNOCK! IT'S ENOUGH!"

"Korn?"

They had been out on a trip to the mall, Knock had kept a distance from Korn the entire time. Walking side by side with him but with an obvious gap between them. They had ended their trip with dinner at a restaurant and when Korn leaned in to wipe away a stain on Knock's face from his messy eating, Knock had flinched so bad he knocked over one of their glasses to the floor. Korn's mood had taken an immediate turn to the worse, and the guilt had radiated off of Knock in waves. But Korn had kept it in. The middle of a restaurant was not the place to discuss this. And Korn understood, Knock was scared. He did. He really did. And so, by the time they got back to Knock's place, Korn's boiling feelings of anger had mostly settled. He understood, and would have let it pass if not for the fact that the first thing Knock did once the door to his apartment closed was to hug him tight, lean his forehead on his shoulder, and apologize.

Korn's feelings exploded.
