It was raining pretty heavily so I rushed into the small building. I closed my umbrella in front of the door before walking in any further. I wiped my muddy feet on the black welcome mat and stepped in closer. I looked around because I hadn't been to this place before and didn't know where to look. The further I walked in the more I started to hear beautiful music. Someone was playing that piano. It was probably the owner, but I didn't know where it was coming from specifically.

"Hello?" I spoke into the empty building. The music soon stopped after that. I heard a door unlock and open so I turned to where I heard it. A tall pale man dressed in all black was standing in a doorway to my right. He just stood and stared in silence. "Um, hi." I shyly waved at him. "Hey." Is all he responded.

"I uh wanted to- are you still doing piano lessons?" I didn't know how to put my words together so it came out that way. "Yes." He stood up straight and started walking in my direction. He walked past me and to a counter in front of me. He sat down in a chair and pulled out a few papers from his desk. "Here, fill these out." He laid them out in front of him with a pen.

I took the papers and filled them out. It was just basic information like my form of payment and my personal information. "When do you wanna start?" He asked in such a blank tone. "Uh, as soon as possible I guess." He seemed uninterested in talking to me. Just by his face and tone, I could tell. "We can start as soon as you pay me for the first lesson," I slid the papers back over to him.

"As it says on the paper it's-" I held out the stack of money. "$120. Here you go." I was honestly eager to learn how to play the piano. I've always thought it was a beautiful instrument, but I never had time to learn it. Now that I'm in college and I can plan my schedule I have plenty of time. "Alright." He looked at me then took my money.

"Follow me." He stood up and headed towards the room he first came out of. When we walked in there were 3 pianos. A grand piano and two electric keyboards. "Grand or electric?" He stopped walking and turned towards me. I was confused as to what he was talking about so I gave him a look. "Which do you want to learn?" He sighed before asking again.

"Oh, grand piano." He continued walking and stopped in front of the black grand piano. "Take a seat." I sat down on the bench and waited for whatever was next. "Have you ever played any piano before?" I shook my head and he turned towards some sheet music. "Okay, we'll learn how to read sheet music today." He got back up and walked over to a small shelf with folders and books. He looked for a while and found a white folder.

"This is some beginner music used for kids; level one beginners." He held up the folder so I could see and I could see written in front 'LEVEL 1 : BEGINNERS'. I nodded and gave an awkward smile. "I'll go make you some copies to study." He left again through the door we came in through and left it open. "Ah, Hyung!" I heard a different voice.

"Don't be so loud in here, how many times do I need to tell you?" I could recognize that voice, it was the instructor dude. "Oh sorry. Mind if I practice some piano?" The unfamiliar man spoke again, I couldn't see what was going on since I was in the other room. "Wait no, Jimin." I was looking at the doorway when a man walked in.

"Oh, hello." He smiled and waved. I didn't know how to react so I just bowed midway. "Jimin, I never gave you permission to come in here." The instructor guy came back in. "Oh are you giving a lesson right now?" He pointed at me as he spoke to the guy. "Yes, yes I am." He looked really annoyed with the other guy; Jimin.

"Sorry, I'll go finish the copies. Don't mind this idiot." He glared at Jimin and walked back out. "Ah you're so mean to me sometimes Yoongi." Jimin pouted and stared out the door. "Call me by my name again and it's your head." Jimin looked scared after that. Guess the instructor guy's name is Yoongi.

"Sorry about that grump. He always seems so mean but he really nice." Jimin turned back to me and laughed at his own words. "So, what's your name student?" He walked over and leaned on the piano. "Uh, Y/n." He smiled again. "Why the 'uh' you seem nervous. Don't worry I'm a nice guy." He smirked this time. I scoffed at his attempt in a flirt. "Ah so mean, you and Yoongi would be a great match."

"Shut up and get out of my store." Yoongi came in behind Jimin. "Hyung why are you so mean to me?" Jimin pouted at Yoongi. Yoongi passed Jimin and hit him in the back of the head with the stack of papers he was holding. "Here, these are the main songs everyone learns. It's basic memorization if you constantly go over it. Do you have a piano at home." I nodded. I have an electric keyboard in my apartment but I've been too scared to touch it.

"All right then this'll be even easier for you." I glanced back at Jimin who was just glaring at Yoongi and crossing his arms. "So," Yoongi noticed me and turned around. "Jimin, go stay in the front desk and help anyone who comes in." Jimin stopped away and into the front. "Back to what I was saying," He handed me the papers. "We'll learn how to play them today, practice tonight and whenever you have time."

We spend over 30 minutes learning how to play the notes and I picked it up pretty quickly. "You're a natural." He actually smiled for once throughout this whole time period. "Really? Thanks." I smiled back at him. "I think that'll do for today, so practice when you get home." We both stood up from the bench. We walked back into the front.

That Jimin guy had already left so it was just us two. "I forgot to give you the receipt." He handed me the piece of paper saying I payed him already. He took out a stack of sticky notes and a pen and started writing. "Here is my contact information if you have any questions. Practices are every other day, so I'll see you in two days at 4:30 PM." He handed me the piece of paper and I examined it real quick.

"Okay, thank you Mr..." I didn't know how to address him. "Yoongi, Min Yoongi. You don't have to call me Mr." I nodded and headed out the door. The rain had let up by then.
