I woke the next morning and looked over to see Kaeden sitting on his bed string at me.
"What?" I said sleepily wiping my eye and then yawning.
"She made pancakes. We have to go to school today." He said
"Huh? School? Oh my God...Of course, I forgot. Well... get dressed." I told him.
We both got dressed and I put on a little bit of makeup and we went downstairs. When Marge saw us she smiled real big and came over to give us hugs.
"Oh, you're already up and ready!" She said smiling.
"Yeah, uh, I heard you made food?" I said smiling.
"Where'd you hear that? I thought this one didnt talk." Marge said motioning to Kaeden.
"He talks. But he only talks when it's talking to me or I tell him to talk." i replied grasping Kaeden by the shoulder.
"You know, Connor, it IS okay for you to let your gaurd down around me... I only want to be there for you like family should be." she said
"Keywords, SHOULD BE. And I will, it's just we haven't been close to anyone in forever, and it's kinda nerve-wracking...I hope you understand..." I tried to say politely.
Just then a handsome man walked into the kitchen, I suspected this was Marge's husband, Nathaniel. He kissed her on the cheek and sat at her table with all of her kids.
"Nathaniel, this is Connor and Kaeden Jacobs. They are the foster kids that will be living with us." Marge introduced us.
"Oh hey." He didnt sound too thrilled as he looked up briefly from his cellphone.
Marge looked disappointed in his enthusiasm, and told us all to get in the car and wait for her. When we all got into the car me and Kaeden sat very very close together even though we had the whole seat. Brittany and Asher started to text on their cell phones, and Levi and Brennan started to play wrestle. It was only ten minutes of waiting for Marge, but when she came out she slammed the house door and was crying. Kaeden and I looked at each other curious as to why. We quickly forgot about it and Marge pulled out of the driveway.
