"Aurora, dear, if you're not going to wake up this instant then you're going to be awfully late for your first day of 10th grade!" I could hear my mom shouting deafeningly from the room nextdoor.
December holidays had just ended, and after six weeks of carousing and fun I now have to attend my first day at Winchester High School.
who knows what uptight, sly, unworthy, hypocritical human beings I'll come across today?
Oh yes, but on the plus side I'll be seeing Izzy, which is the only bonus I can think of.
My mother hurried into my bedroom, her hair was a complete mess, her kitchen apron stained in a manner in which one would assume she was baking an extremely large chocolate cake.
"Get out of bed right now!" she demanded.
"Alright mother! I heared your racket the first time!" I replied.
"Do not raise your voice at me young lady!" she stated irritably.
"Please get out of MY bedroom so i can actually get ready mom," I sighed.
She exited my room and at last I found the motivation to climb out of my hibernation zone.
I dragged myself down the hallway to the bathroom.
I took a quick glimpse at my reflection.
"Ew, what the hell is that creature!?"
"Oh wait, haha, it's me," I chuckled.
I freshened up and headed towards my closet. A huge pile of clothes fell on top of me as i opened the two wooden doors.
"damn, I should have really considered packing this two weeks ago..."
I took a quick peek at my watch.
07:28 it read, so i quickly grabbed my school bag, stationary and textbooks and ran downstairs to catch a lift with my dad.
I entered the kitchen.
"well it's nice to see you all cleaned up," mom laughed.
"now eat your breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day after all," she continued.
I took a bite of the deliciously buttered toast that my mom had so kindly made me for breakfast and chugged down my glass of orange juice so fast, i almost choked on the orange pulp.
"come on Aurora, time for school!" I heard my dad outside.
"hold your horses, Im coming dad!" I shouted
I got into my dad's silver BMW and we drove away.
I listened to a few of my favourite alternative/indie songs while we drove along a long bumpy main road.
After a 15 minute drive, I finally reached my destination.
"have a fun day hun!"
"thanks dad." I smiled and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
