It was a dark and stormy night. Jack had just finished recording and editing videos, and he decided he was done for the day. He walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, grabbing a few cookies. He took out a plate and set the cookies on it.

He was about to dig in when he heard someone knock on his door. He sighed, put the plate down on the counter, and walked to his door. He put his hand on the doorknob and wondered who was visiting at this hour. He opened the door and looked out. He didn't see anyone, so he assumed he was ding-dong ditched.

He then heard a small voice say, "Jack?" from below.

He gasped when he looked down and saw Billy looking up at him. He had multiple scratches and bruises, and his clothes were ripped and dirtied. His leg appeared to be broken and limp. Jack stared for a moment before his face contorted into an angry glare. Billy stepped back in fear, still looking up at him.

"J-Jack I need-" Billy started, but he was interrupted by Jack's loud, angry voice.

"Screw you Billy!" He yelled as a clash of thunder erupted from the sky. Billy flinched, tearing up and looking at the ground. The rain poured down on him, soaking him completely.

"J-Jack please, I-I-" Billy yelled through the sound of the loud rain. Billy heard the sound of a door slamming, and stared at the door in shock. He started to cry, turning around and facing the street. The rain became even heavier as loud thunder sounded from above.

Tears streamed down his face as he limped towards the lamplit street. Billy made it about 3 feet away from the house when he collapsed and fell to the ground. His leg hit the ground first and pain erupted through it. He managed to get into a sitting position and he sat in the pouring rain. He sobbed into his palms, shivering from the cold.

Jack went back to the counter where his cookies were and sat down on a stool. He grabbed a cookie and lifted it to his mouth. He was about to bite into it, but he stopped. He thought about Billy, all alone outside in the freezing rain. He put the cookie back on the plate and sighed. He then shook his head, dismissing the thought.

"Screw Billy, he's stupid," He thought, grabbing the cookie and lifting it to his mouth. He was about to bite it, but he was started by a sudden burst of thunder. Sighing, he put the cookie back down and got up. He walked over to the window at the front of the door and looked out.

He gasped when he saw Billy on the ground, crying. He frowned and cursed himself for slamming the door on him. He went to the coat rack and put on his green rain jacket. He took a deep breath and stepped away from the window. He went to the door and opened it, stepping out into the rain.

He carefully made his way to Billy, who was shivering and sobbing on the ground. Jack knelt down to him and touched his back. Billy's head shot up as he looked behind him. His eyes widened when he saw Jack's bright blue eyes staring back at him. He backed up away from the older man, fear rising in his chest.

"I-I'm sorry, J-Jack. I-I'll l-leave if y-you want me t-to," He whimpered.

He was about to get up when he felt a hand lightly grab his shoulder. He closed his eyes, expecting to be hit, but it never came.

"You can stay at my place if you want," The Irish man said, causing Billy's eyes to open. He stared at Jack in shock.

"Why would you want to help me? You hate me," Billy replied, almost inaudible to the sound of the thunder and rain.

"I may hate you, but I can't leave you like this," Jack said, standing up and offering his hand to Billy. Billy hesitantly stretched out his hand to Jack and grabbed it.

Jack pulled him up and asked, "Can you walk? Your leg looks broken,"

Billy nodded and said, "Yeah," The two started walking towards the house, Billy wincing in pain with each step. Jack noticed this and stopped.

"Do you need me to carry you?" He asked. Billy looked up at him and blushed from embarrassment.

(NO ROMANCE PEOPLE)"N-No, I'm fine. Besides, we're almost there," Billy replied nervously.

"I don't think you should walk when your leg is like that," Jack said. Billy paused before sighing.

"O-Ok, Sure. You can c-carry me," He said, looking at the ground.

Jack picked up Billy and started making is way back towards the house. Billy looked back at the spot where he had just been on the ground. He would've been still stuck in the rain if Jack hadn't taken pity on him. Jack opened the door, Billy still in his arms and walked to the living room.

Jack put hit on the couch and said, "Make yourself at home," Jack then walked back into the kitchen to grab something. Billy looked around the living room, studying its decor. The couch was comfy and nice. Billy yawned and tried not to fall asleep on Jack who had saved him from the cold, wet rain.

Jack walked out with a plate of cookies and milk and set it on the coffee table in front of Billy. He looked at the cookies and then back at Jack.

"Are these for me?" He asked.

"Yeah, go ahead and dig in," Jack replied, sitting down next to him. Billy picked up a cookie and took a bit out of it, savoring the taste.

He swallowed the bite and said, "These are good,"

Jack smiled down at him and said, "They're my ma's recipe," Billy finished his cookies, drank his milk and yawned.

"Tired?" Jack asked.

Billy rubbed his eyes and mumbled, "Yeah," Jack looked at the clock and then turned to Billy.

"If you want, you could stay here for the night,"

Billy looked up at Jack and said, "Really?"

Jack smiled down at him once more and said, "Sure," Billy rubbed his arm and winced, remembering he had a bruise.

"How did you get so badly hurt anyways?" Jack asked.

Billy's eyes widened and he said, "I don't want to talk about it,"

 Jack nodded in understanding.

"How about I fix you up?" Jack said before going to get the first aid kit. Billy waited patiently, humming a tune. When Jack came back with the first aid kit, he cleaned and bandaged his wounds. When he looked at his leg, he frowned.

"I am definitely taking you to the hospital tomorrow," Jack said, dabbing a hydrogen peroxide soaked cotton ball onto a large cut that ran down his leg.

When Jack finished his work, he packed up the kit and brought it back to the bathroom. Jack came back with a shirt and pants for Billy.

He handed Billy the clothes and said, "The bathroom is the last door on the left," Billy nodded and walked (with the help of Jack) to the bathroom. When Billy finished changing, he was escorted back to the couch by Jack. He laid on the couch and pulled a blanket over him.

"Billy if you need anything, my room is the first room on the left," Jack said before turning to go to bed.

"Hey, Jack?" Billy said.

Jack turned to him and said, "Yeah?"

Billy smiled before saying, "Thanks for helping me, Jack," He said, closing his eyes.

"No problem, Billy," Jack said before turning in for the night.
