Prologue

"I'm about to take my key and stick it in the ignition! So gimme that-"

"TOOT TOOT!"

"And lemme give ya that-"

"Hello Miss, your taxi's waiting outside", the concierge informed me, unknowingly cutting off our jam session.

"Thank you, we'll be right down." Hanging up the phone, I told Ivy to get her shoes on so we could leave and finally celebrate the end of A levels.

I've known Ivy since year 9, and we instantly bonded over the mutual hatred of our English teacher. After all these years, she's finally with me in Zambia where we're starting off our summer travels before going to Italy. She may be a savage, but she's one of the few people I trust; which is why we have spent the last 3 hours getting ready - and a bit too tipsy - for our night out.

"You excited?" I asked Ivy with a huge smile on my face.

"Definitely! Where exactly are you taking me again?"

Classic Ivy, doesn't even know where we're going but she's still ready to have fun. I explained to her that we were going on a Booze Cruise which, pretty obviously, is a cruise with unlimited drinks and food all night long.

"God, remember when we used to sleep over at Emily's whenever there was a party?" Ivy said.

"Yeah and how her mum brought it up over the phone with your mum?" I nearly pissed myself laughing thinking about the memory.

"Party? Ivy doesn't party? What are you talking about? My daughter is very studious and would never waste her time in a house full of underage drinking" She mocked her mum who had turned red at the incredulous accusation Emily's mum made. It's safe to say, parties never came up in conversation again.

"Have fun ladies!" the taxi driver said. We gave our thank yous and walked out to be hit with a beautiful sight. The sun was beginning to set and its warm rays drenched the boat making it even more attractive. I could already hear the music and feel it thumping the closer we got. It's been a long two years, time to party them away...
