Chapter 5 ~drive ins

It was already 8:50 and niall still wasn't here. I kicked off my shoes and sat back on the couch. I scrolled through my Instagram feed for a while then looked at the time, it was 8:52 what? How it has seemed like forever I'll never know, as soon as I was about to go upstairs the doorbell rang. I quickly waddled to the door and pulled it open. Niall was holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hey i know i am like late but i really am sorry the flower guy was being complicated, and i had to wait in line forever to get the snacks and everything." He rambled on nervously, i smiled and invited him in. "Uh these are for you!" He handed me the flowers with shaking hands, he followed me to the kitchen where i put them in a vase with water and grabbed my purse. "Just let me get my shoes," i replied before walking off to the living room with him behind me. I slipped on my converse and opened the door. "Ok I'm ready!" I said as he walked out and i followed him to the car.

"Uh here let me get it," he gestured to the door, i stepped aside as he opened the car door for me and helped me in.
I thanked him as he got in and turned on the radio, force of habit, i was about to turn it off until he started singing along.

While he drove along the road to the drive in, i saw the lights start to appear. It had been a while since I have been to the drive in, i only ever went with kassie once in a while. The car ride was short, but not silent, well we were both singing. He paid for me which I was kinda amused by, well by the argument we had over it, he parked and set up some chairs before getting back in the car. "So um niall, what are we watching?" I asked leaning over the middle console to get closer to him, well the food he was holding. I dipped my hand in the bag of Cheetos, and popped them into my mouth. "Uh it's a scary movie, hope you like scary movies, i guess i a boulder asked first,but i just assumed you know be-"
"Niall calm down, i don't know why your so.. Nervouse, and yes i love scary movies." I said laughing along with him.

"Ok, and do you want to go sit on the swings?" He asked. "Uh yeah sure come on!" I said getting out. "I'm gonna beat you!" I said taking off running, but he fought up with me.
He grabbed me from behind my waist and spun me around. "No your not!" He said laughing as we feel to the ground. "I think we both lost," he said laughing . "Actually no you lost!" I said lifting myself up and sprinting to the swings sitting down on one swiftly. "No fair you cheated!" He smile sitting down next to me on the other swing.

"I don't cheat, i just ran faster!" I teased nudging him with my shoulder playfully. "Mmhhm sure !" He smiled at me swinging slowly

"So niall, do you come to the drive on often?" I asked him while dragging my feet on the dirt while i swung back and forth slowly.
"Um yeah actually, kassie always made me go with her when you couldn't." He smiled at me sheepishly. "You know kassie talks about you a lot,like a lot!" He laughed as his swing stopped. I blushed a bit thinking of the things she might have told him. "Um what has she told you?" I stopped swinging also to look at him.

"Well she tells me all about how much i would like you, and about how cool you are, i mean she's probably lying because so far you seem like a major loser to me!" He teased. "Psshh the only loser here is you !" I laughed standing up from the swing."i think your mistaken, you see i didn't cheat!" He laughed following me to the car. I sat down on the blankets by the chairs and lied down. "It's really pretty here," niall said laying down next to me. "Yeah it is,so you've only ever been here with kassie?" I asked him pointing out constellations. "Yeah i never really cared to much for them, until she took me, then i started coming by myself, and i really liked it."

"Cool you know I've only ever been here with kassie too, well up until now!" I laughed. I heard the movie starting "um I'll turn on the radio," i said standing up and getting in the car.

"Ok were all set," i sat down next to him on the blanket after setting the speakers down on opposite sides of us. "So what are we watching?" I asked looking towards him now. "Uh well they were playing old scary movies, so i picked prom night,it's one of my favorites." I had never even seen this movie so that's good i guess. "Uh yeah that's fine, I've never seen it," i laughed at his face. "You've seriously never seen prom night!?!" He yelled getting shushed by multiple people. I laughed at him and shook my head
