NARRATOR: As the group of ambitious climbers got into their car, they all had different reactions to this "vacation" trip. They were all think two of the same things though. One: After saving the world, this was not exactly their idea of a calm time. And two: if they succeed, they would be known as some of the only people to climb Everest, and live to tell the stories, which there would be multiple.

NARRATOR: Getting to the parking lot near Mount. Everest was not a problem. However, getting all of the gear to climb, was. No one had really thought that everything would be as heavy as it was. Cress was a petite person, which wouldn't be a problem, she just wouldn't carry the camping gear or the oxygen tanks. But once this was further evaluated, It seemed that there would in fact be a problem. Everyone had to have their own packs of stuff, which, as the sherpa stated, included an oxygen tank, a gas mask, camping gear, and a small amount of food and water supply. In total, this was estimated, when asked, to weigh fifteen point five pounds, which was heavy for anyone, but especially heavy for a girl that weighed just over seventy-five pounds. As a result, Thorne was asked to carry Cress' camping gear. When he complained and asked why, it was stated in a mocking tone that he should be strong enough to carry the things, as he was a man. Let it be a fact for future reference, that Cinder and Scarlet were easily stronger than Thorne, but the latter enjoyed Thorne whining too much to even think about the mistake that was being made.
