A/N: Sorry if I randomly change character names. It'll be because I'm indecisive and can't think of names I like. Once again, I'm sorry. On that note, let's rejoin Rose on the school bus.

"Rose-chan, get up. We're at school."

Who was that, I wonder, and why are they waking me up?

"Huh? What time is it?" I mumble, wiping sleep from my eyes.

"Um.... ten past nine. We've missed registration and part of first lesson." says a wobbling voice. Akashi, I suddenly think, the new kid.

"Are you new?" I yawn. What kind of a question is that?

"Yup. I'm from Japan. Land of dragons, ninjas, manga, sushi and Mount Fuji," he replies, allowing me to hear some background info.

"Can you speak Japanese? Can you teach me?!" I squeal, ecstatic at the fact that I'll have a chance to be able to learn Japanese. I've tried so many things, but I just can't learn the language. This doesn't help, as I want to live and work in Japan. It will be so cool.

"Sure," Score. I get to learn a new language! "Um... Rose-chan.... we might want to be in time for second, as we have art." I have a creative and debating brain, so I suck at maths, science and sometimes drama. I'm good at P.E. - I'm on the school basketball team.

"What's your favourite subject?"

"Everything."

"Your favourite subject can't be everything. Can it?" Oh. My. God. I thought he was talking about the school. If I say that I wasn't listening, he'll hate me and get offended.  "Everything creative. You didn't give me a chance to finish." Close recovery.

"What are your favourite subjects?" I enquire, suddenly curious.

"P.E., art, science and maths." Oh, not at all like me, excluding art and P.E.

"Wow." I smile.

"Does this school have a basketball team?" Yoake High School is one of the most famous basketball playing schools. See, we have four students who each excel in one position (and required skills) of basketball. If we had a point guard, we'd be regarded as the most powerful team in Japan. Our current one is crap.

"This is Yoake High School," I say, my brain whirring as I try to word this, "Our team is well-known, so it suprises me to hear that you haven't heard of it." This should make it obvious. I play as centre and I've mastered the Hawk eye. I'm trying to train myself to be able to use 100% of my ability and talent. I'm also vice-captain, so I may recommend him, if he's good enough.

"Let's have a one-on-one." suggests Akashi.

"Sure. Right now."

"Fine."
