Alice's mother lead him to a small clearing in the maze, where a very husky, proper looking young man was waiting in a white suit. He wore a baby blue collared shirt, and an indigo tie. His dark black hair firmly combed up and over into a nice dip. He was surely a handsome one, and his eyes could surely melt the hearts of millions. His gaze met our direction, and he smirked mischievously.

"Greetings Mrs. Park...and the sweet Alice" he spoke calmly. By the gods his voice was heavenly. He spoke in a dark yet sweet tone, his vocals never missing a beat. He gracefully gripped Alice's hand and swiftly pressed his lips against it. Pulling away and looking up at his flushed expression. He chuckled.

"Not used to casual greetings I suppose.." he said. Alice looked back to my mother who was also giggling.  "This is Hamish dear, the next in line to his family's fortune, he came here to get properly aquatinted with you." His mother said happily, which surprised Alice. Considering she was never this nice to anyone. She always liked keeping up her reputation, but this level of kindness towards Alice was not common.

Hamish looked at Alice with a very unusual gaze, like he was planning something.. this made Alice uneasy. He felt a warm hand cup his cheek and he face was soon pulled towards Hamish's. "My dear Alice.." he had gripped Alice's hand in the process. But it was just two much.. He pulled away and fled back towards the drinks table where his Aunt and Sister previously were, but alas they had vanished, along with all of Alice's hopes of being free.

He soon heard the shrill voice of his of mother from around the corner, yelling and calling out for Alice. He tried to run, but attempt was futile as his wrist was gripped hard by his mothers hand. She yanked back Alice's arms towards her, forcing him down onto his knees facing upward, making direct eye contact with his furious parent.

"Alice, you will listen to me, and you will listen good, Hamish is here to take your hand in marriage, his financial connections will greatly benefit our family and maintain its reputation. So I don't care if you have to be dragged by steel, rusted cuffs apon your wrists, you WILL marry Hamish, we WILL get that money, then you will go BACK into that cellar of a room for as long as you li-"

She couldn't even finish her sentence Alice ran so fast, avoiding all possible interactions with others. Fear and torture were the only things running through Alice's mind. He was blinded by the fear, scarred by the pain, and consumed by the humiliation of not being the perfect daughter. Tears streamed down his face as he ran out of the maze and threw the trees. The tall wood forests surrounded him as the bright orange day blended with the dark indigo night. It became too dark for Alice to run any further so he stopped. Exhausted from running for hours, and the migraines constantly hitting him, Alice gave up and collapsed onto the soft emerald grass.

"I'm sorry mother" Alice muttered in slurred words. For he could not fulfill his mother's wishes, and become what he had most dream of being. A good daughter, a faithful daughter, and daughter of which his mother would look upon and smile with pride. Alice sobbed, and slumped down against a tree, for whom was as bare as her hopes and dreams of becoming anything other tha-

"No, no more talk, just sleep" He spoke softly as his eyes began shut. And sleep overcame.

Morning soon came, and Alice awoke to the bright sunlight hitting her eyes. He lazily shifted upward to sit up, and propped her hands up for support. He let out a long and dreary yawn, exposing the world to his exhaustion. It was very bright morning that day, so Alice decided to stroll around and search for the party she had ran away from. He didn't think it would be that difficult, he didn't feel like

Hours soon past, and Alice had still not found the familiar cream tents. To his surprise, he had recognized the tree he had rested on from afar. Alice began to sob once more, slumping down onto that same familiar tree. He had given up everything for his mother.. and had he not been in such a struggle to keep his word, Alice would've died from a silver bullet the moment his father had perished.

That's when he heard something, a small squeak coming from a bush, he looked over, only to see a small pink nose peering from around the lush green. He fumbled backwards onto her rear in shock, this little creature had startled poor Alice. The rest of the creature had revealed itself to be a small white rabbit, one of tales in folklore and storybooks. It was quite the peculiar little thing, having worn a blue tailcoat and buttons. He giggled at the adorable bunny, placing his hand out to pet it. The rabbit complied, moving under Alice's resting palm.

"How intriguing, are you a pet of one of the lords?" Alice asked the rabbit curiously. It looked up at him with big black doe eyes, the rabbit looked worried. Alice noticed this, speaking to the rabbit in more of a calmly manor.

"What troubles you sir?"  He bent down closer to it, their noses barely touching.

They connected just briefly before the rabbit took off down the path. In a brief moment of panic, Alice ran after the bright white bunny, flying through the tall trees and lush green leaves. He had been running for a good ten minutes before collapsing from exhaustion onto the grass. He had been in the woods for days with not a single thing to eat, his energy had been all used up.

"This is it.." he thought, sobbing into his dress. He curled up into a ball, tucking his  knees under his arms and lying on his side. The tears streamed down into the emerald green blades. He laid there in silence, excepting his fate, until he heard the most peculiar of sounds..
