Beginning of the ending
Once upon a time, there was a lonely ghost girl. She didn't have, well, any friends, even when she was alive; I guess you could say that she was used to being lonely, but that didn't mean she liked it.
In fact, she hated it.
She remembered that when she was alive she thought it was because she was ugly. She hadn't thought about what she had looked like in ages. She took a second to think.
Ah yes, now she remembered. She had extremely pale skin with highly contrasting dark brown short hair. She remembered her eyes. To tell you the truth, she always kind of liked her eyes. They were big and brown and framed with jet black lashes. Her mouth was small and a light pink rose. She sighed, remembering that her lips had never been kissed. She had never been properly loved in her whole life. And after-life, or whatever the frick this was.
Fox's shoulders sagged as she drifted out of the bookstore she had been"haunting" and took a walk around her little town.
Eventually, she came upon a little wooded area and decided she would look for a tree to climb. Oh, when she was alive how she loved to climb trees; she hasn't climbed one since she...you know.
She didn't know why but thinking about her death made her feel paranoid, so she quickly cut it out and once again began focussing on finding a proper tree to climb.
After a bit, she found a quite lovely tree and began to slowly climb it, when she could, in fact, just float up it. upon reaching the top, she decided she would begin to watch the birds flittering to and fro between the mess of trees. A bird flew through her body and landed on a neighbouring tree.
Oh, she absolutely despised being dead. Sagging her shoulders and sighing, she began to birdwatch once again.
Suddenly, two hands landed LANDED (you see she's a ghost) on her shoulders and a guys voice shouted "BOO" Fox spun around, her breath catching, to see a pale black haired boy with big blue eyes surrounded by jet black eyelashes.
"Did I say it right?" he asked, giving her an adorable smile. He pushed his little hair sideburns more into his face and settled down next to Fox.
"Perfect" she answered, smiling back at him.
After awhile, he whispered "How long have you been...you know...?" He remained watching the birds. Fox had to think for a second. How long HAD she been dead? It clicked then.
"One, maybe two years" she pressed her lips together and murmured "How about you?" "About four years" he nearly whispered.
They lapsed into comfortable silence after that.
He broke it by asking "Can we be, uh... Friends or..." his gaze returned to Fox. Smiling, she said "I would absolutely love to be your friend. My name is Fox, and it is lovely to meet you" his smile grew wider as he whispered "My name is Christian and it was absolutely enchanting to meet you"
They smiled at each other for awhile.
Suddenly, Fox jumped down from the tree and the the wooded floor, Christian soon after. "whatcha doin?" he asked, making his way to where Fox stood. "EXPLORING" she nearly yelled while gesturing to the forest around her.
"I think we should draw somethin on the tree so everyone knows it's ours" Christian said, waving his hands by the tree.
They materialized themselves ad began sharpening sticks. Once they were sharp enough, Christian asked "what should we draw?"
"Maybe a heart?"
Christian lifted himself about six feet, Fox stood on her toes and they began carving on the tree.
In the end the heart was a bit wobbly and crooked, but still definitely a heart.
Both were tired from materialized for so long, and went back to being their invisible forms.
"Our tree" Fox whispered, smiling at their little carving.
"Ours" Christian murmured, hooking his arm around her waist.
End.
