"I'm Yagen Toushirou. In spite of my name, unlike my brothers I was raised on the battlefield. Though I don't know much about refined things, when it comes to the battlefield you can rely on me. Well, let's get along, General."
You looked at the young man in front of you in awe. A single question running through your mind:
Did you seriously bring an inanimate object to life?
As the sakura petals finally settled onto the ground, the tantou looked around the holding room the two of you were in. It was a very run down place with much of the paint peeling off the walls, there were cobwebs at the corners of the room and he could see the dust dancing in the yellow light of the setting sun. Was this his new home? If so he wouldn't mind, the place looked very peaceful, unlike the battlefield he was so used to.
He then turned to look at his new master, she was quite young, maybe 18 or 19 years old. She stood no taller than him, clad in the traditional shrine maiden outfit. Her gentle features brought a strange sense of tranquility within him.
Clearing your throat, you were the first to break the silence," It's my deepest pleasure to have you as the first inhabitant of this citadel, Yagen. Please do make yourself at home."
"Although getting used to a human body may get complicated." You added quickly with a laugh.
Yagen found himself laughing with her, it was a long time since he felt at ease like this, he likes this change of pace. And it looked like he would finally have days of peace to look forward to from now on.
But little did he know, a war raged outside of the seemingly peaceful interior of the citadel.
