Pearl
I woke up to birds chirping a sweet melody by my window and Justin’s arms wrapped around me. I didn’t bother looking at the alarm clock next to my bed; I already knew that it was six o’clock.
I tried to sit up, but, just like when Justin and I napped together on couch, every time I tried to get up, he just held tighter onto me.
I put my head back onto my pillow and sighed in defeat. I bit my lip and considered my options:
1. I could just lie here and wait until he wakes up, albeit that may not be for another four, five, six hours…
2. I could wake him up briefly and ask him to let go of me.
3. I could try more futile attempts at escaping his grasp.
After much deliberation, I decided to go with option two. It made the most sense. I’ll wake him up for a second so I can get out of bed, and then he’ll probably just fall back asleep right away. I doubt he will even remember I woke him up later when he actually does wake up.
I twisted myself so I was now lying on my side and not my back.
“Justin,” I whispered in his ear, “Wake up.”
“Mmmm,” He moaned softly.
I couldn’t help but to laugh. For as long as I could remember, waking up had never been a problem for me. It’s so funny to see Justin like this.
“Justin,” I repeated, a little louder this time, “Open your eyes please.”
“Mmmm. Why?” He asked, groaning this time.
“Because I would like to get out of bed, but your arms are trapping me.”
“So? Why do you want to leave? Just stay here with me. It’s so warm and cozy in this bed,” Justin said, pulling me closer to him and wrapping his arms even tighter around me.
I sighed. “Justin, I really just want to start my day. I am an early bird, remember?”
“I do remember,” He said, his eyes still closed, “But trust me, being with me in bed is much more fun than anything else you would do if you got up.” Justin smirked and then opened his eyes and gave me a wink.
I rolled my eyes. “Justin, stop playing and release me.”
“Fine! But you don’t know what you’re missing.”
“Justin, I just spent the past four hours in bed with you and I would call it peaceful, not fun.”
Justin gave me a smile, flashing his perfectly white, straight teeth. He then leaned into me so his lips were right by my ear and whispered, “Yeah, but that was when we were asleep. Imagine the fun we could have if we were awake.”
I couldn’t stop myself from turning scarlet. I cleared my throat and tried my best to be smooth.
“Do you know what would be really fun for me right now?” I asked as sexily as I could.
Justin’s eyebrows shot up. “What would that be?” He asked as I rubbed my hands up and down his bare chest.
“If you would let me get out of this bed!” I nearly screamed, pushing him away from me.
Justin started laughing. “I should have known that’s what you wanted. I thought you wanted something else…” Justin trailed off.
I gave him a look. “What kind of girl do you think I am?”
Justin smiled, this time without showing his perfect teeth. “The kind who doesn’t enjoy being held captive in bed.”
And with that, Justin finally let go of me.
