"Drew!" Sigaw pabalik ni Kourtney at tumakbo papunta kay Drew, who is at the bridge.
Sa mga nakatama ang sagot, congrats. Yes, it's Drew. Wearing a black shirt and camo pants paired with white sneakers. Covering his eyes with sunnies and wearing a white cap backwards. I sighed at lumapit sa dalawa, the two talking animatedly.
"Couz' I'm sorry di kita na samahan magcredit ng units mo. Okay ka naman na?" Tanong ni Drew.
They're cousins. I get it na. The thing is, ayaw ko makita si Drew. First is because di naman niya ako pinapansin. He never calls or texts (not that I needed him to) me. Pangalawa, stuck up pa rin ako sa pagtawag niya sa akin na Dani. I'm not going to explain further and lastly, sinabi ko naman na we're friends but I have trust issues. Redundant na puro ako trust issues chuchu. I just don't want to get my trust and heart shattered again. It's too broken.
"Okay lang ano ka ba! Aubrey helped me naman." Sabi ni Kourtney at tinuro ako. Ha? Ako?
"Dani? It's good to see you again." Drew said with a smile.
Pagkatapos niya akong hindi pansinin, papansinin niya na ako? Friends kami diba? Wala man lang text or call para magkamustahan? Anything? He knows I'm grieving. Okay, maybe I needed assurance na nandiyan siya para sa akin. Kaya ayoko na meron pumapasok sa buhay ko basta basta.
You're such an over thinker Brie, just go with the flow. Says my ex-boyfriend who's now dating my ex-best friend. Tsk, bitter mo Aubrey.
"Dani? Okay ka lang?" Tanong ni Drew. As if I was is a trance, I snapped out of it and stared at the worried facial features of the man in front of me. Blinking myself back to reality, I gave them a fake smile. Kunwari okay ako kaso naalala ko na naman yung araw na yun.
"Okay lang ako." I bit the inside of cheek to prevent myself from crying. Sana lang di ako teary-eyed.
"I know something that will cheer you up! Ice cream tayo guys!" Kourtney's face lit up dahil sa sinabi niya. I lit up too. I mean, ice cream yun. I never pass on ice cream.
"Game!" Drew exclaiming with his bright smile. Napakamasayahin ni Drew. He's been going to through a breakup like a pro. Buti pa siya.

"Ikaw Aubrey?" Tanong sa akin ni Kourtney. I nodded. I told ya, I'm not passing up for ice cream. "Then, ano pa hinihintay natin? Let's go!" Kourtney continued, making me snicker at her antics.

Nasa ice cream parlor kami, chucking on our ice creams. Flavor ng akin? Chocolate with bits of KitKat on top. I've been to this ice cream parlor a lot of times at ito yung go-to kong comfort food. Thanks to this ice cream, it lifted my spirits.
