Chapter 17- McDonald's

Calum's P.O.V:

Later on the day we all got notifications that school was off for the next few weeks or so. Apparently there was no deaths but many slight injuries, though none were worse than a skid of a bullet. I seemed to have gotten the worst out of it.

Nobody knew that Kat was kidnapped and the paper she was writing on before was filled with her explanation of what had happened to her.

Kat had led him straight to the police where they arrested him for many different crimes. He's sentenced to 3 years in prison. It's not as long as we had hoped it to be but since nobody died they can't charge him for murder.

We decided to go out for lunch and ended up in a McDonald's line.

"Hello how may I help you?" The lady at the front asked, eye-raping the guys and I. I didn't speak, as I was going to go last but Ash, Luke, and Michael were fighting about what's better, burgers or chicken nuggets? So she looked towards Kat, waiting for her to answer. She just stared blankly at her.

"What would you like to order?" She said, looking unimpressed with Kat. Kat turned her head to the side slightly, still staying silent.

"Hellooooo!!?" She said, waving her hand in front of Kat's face as if she was deaf. Kat merely narrowed her eyes at her rude behavior.

"Ugh please don't tell me you're retarded or anything" she said and Kat looked genuinely hurt. I sighed, pushing past the guys and standing next to Kat.

"She's mute. Not that it's any of your business." I said sternly to her and her eyes widened but she didn't bother to say sorry to her, instead giving me what I think was supposed to be a seductive look.

"And how may I help you?" She said, her voice flirty.

"What do you want?" I asked Kat, ignoring her and turning to a shocked Kat.

'chicken nugget meal with an Oreo McFlurry please' she signed and I nodded, repeating my order and adding in mine. The girl looked mad that I wasn't affected by her flirting as she typed furiously on the screen.

"Guys!" I scolded, pinching them all.

"Ow!"

"Ouch!"

"Owwieeeee!!!!" They all exclaimed, Luke being the last. They all were brought back to reality though and ordered, giving Ashton's name and walking to get our drinks.

After our food came out we sat down and started munching. Ashton and Luke we're on one side while Michael, Kat and I were in the other, Kat in the middle of us.

We chatted about nothing for about an hour before I got a text message. It was from my mum, weird.

I furrowed my eyebrows, not responding since she could see I read it and clicked into it, scrolling until I saw my newest video.

"Holy Shît" I said, my eyes widening as I stared at my phone screen.

"What?" Ash asked from across the table and that directed the attention to me. I stayed silent, speechless as I handed him the phone. His eyes widened as well and we passed around the phone until everyone saw it.

"Do you usually get that much recognition?" Michael asked quietly and I shook my head no.

"I usually get like 100 views and 19 likes. Guys, we just got thousands of likes and views in less than 24 hours" I said, smiling widely. We were all surprised to say the least.
