Yugioh ZEXAL!: Return of the Barians Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Omen of duels to come.

Shark was searching around heartland city, he was searching for any potential trace of Yuma he could find but it what he found barely helped as well, which was basically nothing. He was getting increasingly and increasingly more bored until a card shop caught his eye, if he had to take on any Barians or number users he'd need to potentially update his or any of the others decks. He took a look around, focusing mainly on rank 4 and 5 Xyz monsters and ways to easily summon them. "Abyss dweller... Aegion is a rank eight but Kite could use it... bahamut Shark? Never heard of that one." He quickly muttered through the effect and just seen a great card that him or anyone else could use. He went around the shop and started picking up more and more cards he went and paid for them.

Somewhere in Hartland tower Kite was working on a new duelling robot to help him take on the new Barians, Trying to simulate their tactics or cards, soon though a tall man walked through the entrance to where Kite was, Kite immediately spun around "Who are you?!" The man just kept walking toward Kite "I'm a friend. I want to take on the new Barians just as much as you."
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"However you want to."
"Well I don't. First of all how did you get in here."
"This." The man threw a card down and a monster appeared from it, it was a mechanical bird. The light the projection was casting allowed Kite to see the mans face, he had a dark blue hair with light green bangs that were shaped like a wing. He also was wearing a blue trench coat that was belted shut.
"That's nothing, it's just a card that can create a projection"
"How about an actual physical projection?"
Kite was taken aback by that, he didn't think that was actually possible.
"You're lying, the projection isn't solid at all"
"You got me there. I was just joking around. I have no reason to prove why I got in here. I came here to talk with you"
"Then you can get out"
"Make me"
"Happily"
Kite sprung up from his seat and activated his duel disk with the young man activating his own, seemingly neither of them needed a D-Gazer.

Turn 1- "Kite 4000" Shun 4000
Kite and Shun both drew five cards from their decks, Kite studying his cards carefully. "I activate Accellight which allows me to summon Daybreaker from my deck since I control no monsters. And since Daybreaker was special summoned I can special summon one from my hand, and the effect can repeat with one more!" Kite summons all three daybreakers in succession, to the amusement of Shun "A rank four huh? Bring it on then" Kite smirked and cast his hand out "I Xyz summon! Come forth! Starliege Paladynamo!" Atk - 2000 Def- 1000. "I set two cards and end my turn."

Turn 2- Kite 4000 "Shun- 4000"
Shun drew his card and smirked, almost being able to guess the kind of cards set by Kite. "I normal summon Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius. I then activate its effect, allowing me to summon Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius And then by using the effect of the second fuzzy Lanius in my hand to special summon it. Now! Xyz summon! Raidraptor - Rise Falcon!" Atk- 100 Def- 2000. "Attack position and it has 100 attack?"
"It's also an Xyz monster, don't forget that. I activate its effect which, by detaching an overlay unit I can add one of your special summoned monsters attack to my Raidraptors. And I choose your Starliege Paladynamo!" Atk- 2100 Def- 2000. "Now, Rise Falcon! Attack his remaining Daybreaker!"
"Not so fast! I activate Lumenize! It negates the attack and adds 2100 attack to my Daybreaker!"
"Card one baited. I activate Rank-Up-Magic Revolution Force! This allows me to rank up summon an Xyz monster one level higher than Rise Falcon! Xyz summon Raidraptor - Stranger Falcon!" Atk- 2000 Def- 2000 "And, I activate its effect. By detaching one Xyz material I can destroy one of your special summoned monsters and deal damage equal to its original attack. Bye Starliege!" One of the yellow orbs circling the monster get absorbed into its chest as the holes on the wings fire streams of flames at Starliege destroying it and hurting Kite in the process before Kite drew a card from Paladynamo's effect. Kite - 2000. "I set one card and end my turn"
Turn 3- Kite - 2000 Shun - 4000
Kite drew his card, smirked and prepared to dig in for a long and arduous duel...

Not entirely abandoning the main story, just giving Kite's part a bit more detail. It can fill in for while I prepare the main crews next few parts.
