Chpt. 4

Nova P.O.V.

My eyes blazing red. "Carter what the fuck are you doing!!!!" I scream in his face as he pins me on the ground. "Whatever do you mean dear sister." He says innocently as a sly smirk spreads across his face. My eyes narrow as he annoys me even more. If I haven't told you yet Carter is the same age as me also, me and him are kinda like friends. "Asshole." I mutter under my breath and struggle under his hold. "Let me go, please." My eyes slowly turn crystal blue as I calm down. He gets up and I jump up, turn around only to be grabbed around the waist and thrown over Carter's shoulder. "Holy hell your heavy." "Thanks jackass." I roll my eyes at his comment. He starts walking forward? Anyways he starts walking somewhere and I start to squirm. "Stop squirming." Carter's hold tightens on my waist. "Nice ass you got there Carter." I'd know that voice from a mile away.

It was Jared "Aww thanks I work so hard to get this nice of ass. Finally someone shows some appreciation." "I was talking about Nova's ass but now that I look at yours, you do have a pretty nice ass." "Now that we're done talking about each others asses, Carter will you put me down please." "Oh yeah sure." Carter put me down and I pushed me onto a bed on top of Jared. "What the fuck." Jared grabbed me around the stomach and Carter hand cuffed me to the headboard. Jared rolled me to the side and jumped off the bed before I could grab him with my free hand. "Carter fucking uncuff me." I gave him my best death stare. "Sorry Nova but you have to stay here with Jared for a couple hours." "Why Jared." I whine. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with spending a couple hours with me. Now is there." Jared wiggled his eyebrows and I cringed. "Yes, yes there is." Jared frowned.

"We could have a lot of fun if you cooperate." His eyebrows went up and down. I gagged and almost threw up. " You're so gross. Carter please don't leave me alone with him." "I feel so violated just by his words." I cringe again. "Come on guys just get along and I'll be back in a couple hours okay?" "Okay" I say defeated. "Fine, under one condition." "And what is that?" "You can't be a bitch the whole time." "Are you fucking kidding me." "See you can't be like that." "Whatever." Carter left, no abandoned me in this place with Jared for what he said a couple hours. I don't trust that he'll be gone for a 'couple' hours. "You wanna play a video game??" Jared looks a little nervous. I stare at him for a couple minutes just to make him nervous. "Hell yeah! What games you got??" Jared visible relaxed and let out a breathe. "I have Halo, Left 4 Dead , Battlefield, and Destiny." "Let's play Left 4 Dead please."

We get on Left 4 Dead for about an hour and I want to switch the game. Jared uncuffed me before we got on the game because I can't play with one hand. "Let's play Halo now." "But it's my turn to choose." Jared looked me in the eyes with what I'm guessing is his best puppy dog eyes which didn't work, at all. "Screw taking turns put the game in now." He looked a little scared as he put the game in. We played Halo for the until Carter walked in the room. He looked a little surprised as I was laying my head on Jared's lap as he was leaning against the headboard. I looked at him. "What it's comfortable, you should try it sometime." "I think I'll pass." Jared finally looked up when he heard Carter's voice. "Hey." Jared and I turned our attention back to the video game. "C'mon guys we need to go." "Whyyyyyyy." I whine. "Because the reason that I kept you held up her for two hours is done and we need to go see it."

"Fine." I draw out the word as I sit up and get off the bed while Jared turns the game system off. "What're we riding in??" We walk outside. "My baby!!!" I yell while I run to my bike and hug it like I haven't seen it in weeks. "Here's the address meet us there in 5." I hopped on my bike and brought it to life. It took awhile to get to the address but I made it there before Carter and Jared. It was a little ice cream shop, it was really cute and as I looked through the big front window to the shop I saw David, Meghan, Brittney, and Shane. "Son of a bitch." I mutter. Carter finally pulls up with Jared and sees my face. "Surprise?" He says like I should know something that I clearly don't. "What the actual fuck. I am not going in there while that thing sitting by Brittney is in there." I say pointing to Shane. "So you two do know each other. I knew it!" Carter yells as he fist bumps in the air like he won a bet or something.

"You are not making me go in there." I say as I look at Carter. "C'mon Nova i'll happily be your 'boyfriend'." Jared says with air quotes. "I'd rather drown then have you pretend to be my boyfriend." Jared looks at me feining hurt. "Princess that hurt really bad." Jared says with his hand on his chest for more enphasis. "Whatever jackass." I roll my eyes. "Let's go babe." Jared hangs his arm around my shoulder. "I look at him and then look forward because I know that there's no way I'm going to get him to take his hand off my shoulder. Also I'm tired from playing video games. Which means I'm to tired to put up a fight. "By the way if you call me princess again I will chop off your dic and beat you with it. Understand?" Jared visibly gulps "Yes I understand." We walk into the little shop and the first pair of eyes I see on me is Shane's. But I notice that his eyes aren't on me but the hand around my shoulder.

I smirk, I turn Jared towards me, grab his shirt collar, pull it down and kiss him on the lips. It started slow but Jared quickly sped it up and I didn't object because I could feel to holes being burnt into me by Shane's intense stare. Jared lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his torso. He was kissing me hungrily and I was kissing just as hard back. He walked us to a bar stool and sat me down there. We kissed for a couple seconds more, then we broke apart for air. Jared stares at me in awe and I stare at him back. I lift my lips up to his ear. "Don't get to used to that ok?" I bite his ear lobe and he slightly nods showing me he understands. I hop off the bar stool and he grabs my hand as we walk to the group. Jared and I walk to Carter, I sit in between Carter and Jared. "Nov it's good to see you again. It's been so long." Shane's smug face makes me annoyed and my eyes turn light red not quite pink but not red either.

Jared puts his hand on my thigh and he starts to draws shapes on my inner thigh. Shane's eyes flicker to Jared's hand and back up to my face. I smirk, "It's good to see you again too, Shane." Shane and I stare at each other for a moment. I see something in his eyes it looks like remorse? "Well Nova you know why we brought you here." Dave interrupts "Umm no I don't know why." "Are you sure??" Dave asked I turn to Carter "What's the date today?!?" I ask a little frantic. "Today's August-" "Nov it's August 26th." Shane interupts Carter. I take a sharp breathe in my eyes turning orange getting darker by the second. I look around and notice that this is the ice cream shop that my mom used to take me after every school year. To celebrate anothe sucessful year. I open my mouth but close it because I have nothing to say. I abruptly stand up, I grab Jared's hand and I walk out with him ignoring everyone calling me.

Jared goes along with me because he knows how hurt I am right now. I give him the keys to my bike to Jared because I can't drive right now. My eyes dark orange, " Go to the cemetary but stop by the store for some flowers." I tell Jared, avoiding eye contact. We stop by a store I don't bother to look at the name. I walk in and find a bouquet of tiger lillies, I pay for them and we go to the cemetary. We arrive at the cemetary in about 20 minutes. I know exaclty where her grave is. When I moved here Dave had my mother burried here for me. My mother had no other living relatives so he had her burried here. I place the bouquet across her grave. My eyes still orange, the drastically change to a dark blue as I let hot tears slide down my cheeks. Jared comes up behind me. " You want to go back to my place and play some more video games for the rest of the day." "Ya." My voice cracks and Jared gives me a hug while we head back to his place.

By the time we get back to Jared's place it was darker than before. It was dusk when we got to that little ice cream shop. We played video game after video game. I was getting tired but I didn't want to go to sleep, let alone go to that place I'm supposed to call home. "Can I spend the night here?" Jared looks a little surprised. "Sure." We turn off everything and I share to bed with Jared because I don't want to sleep alone tonight. "Goodnight Jared." "Goodnight Nova." With that said I let sleep envelope me in it's loving arms. Who knew crying was so exhausting.

A/N~ I'm back :) yay! I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in so long. I've been so busy, my cousin came from Africa to England for a week to visit with her sister then here to Washington for a month to visit with my family and then she has to go back to Africa for another six months so I had to spend all my time with her. Then my computer was a bust I bouht it but then had to send it back because there was something wrong with it. I'm updating another computer but i'll soon have my own. I feel horrible for not updating for like a month. I don't know when the next update will be though because I'm struggling with school. But when I catch up I'll have more time to spend with you guys and girls. Yay! Again so sorry I haven'y updated.
