Chapter 1

Best...Birthday...EVER!!!!

Kiyo's POV

"Kiyo, it's time to get dressed, school starts in an hour." My sister, Kagome woke me up during a strange dream I was having. I dreamt that a familiar voice was calling out to me, but I didn't know who this person was. "Okay, I'm up." She nodded her head and left my room. I pulled myself out of bed and I grabbed my school uniform. I got dressed and I ran downstairs to meet my family. "Good morning dear, how did you sleep? " I looked at my mom and replied "I slept fine until Kagome woke me up." She just turned her head away from where I was standing. "Kagome, I know you can't stay mad at me." I say mischievously. "Oh, I know."

I sat down next to Souta and I gave him a hug. "Kiyo, what are you doing?" I looked at him and smiled. " I just felt like hugging you. " He pouts and I begin to eat my cooked fish.  After breakfast, Kagome and I left for school. "Kiyo are you okay?" I looked at her and smiled weakly. "Yeah, I'm fine."

*A few hours later*

Kagome and I walk home and could sense that someone was following us. "Kagome, hold on." She looked at me with concern."What's wrong?" I looked at her and say "I feel like that somebody is following us." I turn around quickly to see that it's only Inuyasha. "Jeez, don't scare us like that." He scoffed " Yeah whatever." We continue to walk home and Inuyasha is still pretty mad at me for catching him trying to scare Kagome and I. "Hey Kiyo, do you want to come to the Feudal Era with Inuyasha and I?" I looked at Kagome and a began to smile. I've always wanted to go and now this is officially the best birthday ever! "Yeah, I'd love to go!" Kagome hugged me and she said "Okay this is your gift for your birthday." I was so excited to go and see Japan as it once was.
