It all started on 31st October 1999, it was my friend’s Halloween Party (to be more specific it was Sara’s party). It was supposed to be the so called ‘Best Party of the Year’…which really pissed me off. I actually wanted to keep such a party at my place but my parents would never agree. So…..let’s get carried on with the party. I entered the hall where everyone was unrecognizable…obviously because of their costumes. I decided to be a witch, the most common character that came to mind. Well, there were several other witches beside me, even Sara was a witch. She was glad to see me dressed up as a witch, but her costume was WAY better than mine.  The party was loud and fun…but something just made me feel uncomfortable. The party was in Queens Hall, New York’s oldest party hall, it had been closed for 25 years due to some accident that took place. It felt weird standing in that hall. I could feel a shiver go down my spine.  It was 12’o clock, I knew I had to be home at this time but the party lasted longer then I supposed. I was wandering around the party hall with my friends, when suddenly I saw an old door at the corner of the hall. It seemed odd because it didn’t look new like the rest of the building.  The door urged me to go near it, though knowing that something was wrong, I shouldn’t be going near it. “Ashley! What are you doing over there? Come here…The party is about to end”, I heard Sara calling.  She came to and pushed me all the way to the front of the hall and told me to stand with her. After bidding our farewell to everyone, Sara offered me a ride back home. I agreed, we went walking to the drive way. Suddenly I realized that I had left my phone in the hall, I told Sara to wait and went running towards the hall. When I was running something felt strange, it felt as it if the world was ending. I ignored the feeling and slowly peeked into the hall. I saw my phone lying on the table. I picked it up and checked through it. I looked at all the missed calls on my phone, but I was quite shocked to see a text message (my parents never texted me not even my friends).  I read the message and it said, “Look behind you. Look at that door. Behind that door is a new better life for you.”  I was scared and frightened.  Without looking back I ran to the entrance of the hall, I didn’t want to turn back. Suddenly I heard a voice. “Ashley…Ashley…Don’t be scared…JUST TURN BACK…..TURN BACK..BACK…”. I ran quickly where Sara was standing, “What happen Ash? Why you sweating so hard? Are you okay? ASH? ASHLEY???”. And everything went dark.  I woke up; I realized I was lying in the hospital. It was 10am in the morning,  Sara was sitting impatiently, looking very worried. “Sara? What happen?”. Sara came running towards me, “Ashley…Thank God, your okay. I was so scared. You are in the ICU. Yesterday you fainted while you came out of the hall….but why were you so scared?”.  I had no idea what she was talking about, “What are you saying Sara? I don’t remember anything.”. Sara called the doctor.  The doctor came in and said, “Ms. Ashley, how are you feeling at the moment? Any sort of pain?”. I kept looking at the doctor with a questioning face, the voice was familiar but the face wasn’t. “Doctor, have we met before?”. The doctor, with an evil look, smiled, “Really, think again.” And suddenly a flashback of last night appeared, it was the same voice. I started screaming, “Get away from me. Just get away, I don’t want this doctor. Get him away.” Everyone was confused; they kept passing weird looks at each other. I did not know what to do so I just said, “I want to be left alone with Sara….That is it. Not even the doctor.” Everybody left; it was only me and Sara. “Ash, you okay? Is everything alright? Is there something you want to tell me?”, she kept saying that until I mumbled, “No, everything is wrong. That doctor? Who is he? He’s not right.”. Sara was totally confused; I could read it on her face. Sara slowly said, “Ash can we start from the beginning problem, what is this all about?”. I looked at her, tears were in my eyes. I whispered, “Sara last night in the hall…when I went to get my phone, there was a voice calling me...and that voice is exactly the same as the doctors. It scares me.”  Sara tried to comfort me but nothing helped, I was too frightened to control myself. Then Sara said, “Are you sure? Can you prove it? I believe you but the others.”. I looked at her and started searching for my phone, “Where’s my phone? Where is it??”. Sara handed me my phone, “I have it, but maybe it’s not working. It fell when you fainted.” I helplessly looked at her, “Oh no! It had the text message in it, that was my only proof. Now what?”. Sara smiled, “You dumbo, give me your SIM card I will put it in my phone. We can at least check your messages.". She fit the SIM card in her phone and checked the inbox, it had only one message. She read it and her mouth was open in shock, "This is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE."
