Imagine 6 (cont.)

"Maybe think about it?" Alex asked still trying to get an answer.

"Yeah..." I said slowly walking the other way forgetting about everyone, even Austin.

"So talk later?" Austin yelled to me as I walked away. I stopped.

I turned to look at Austin from a far. What if he's the guy? What if Alex isn't the one for me?

"Talk now!" I said running up to grab Austin.

"Oh, well.. this is fun," He said sarcastically.

As we walked away, I could see Alex out of the corner of my eye looking.... desperate. I may have made a mistake, but... after what he did, anything's better.

"So beautiful, what would you like to do to end this night off?" Austin asked.

"I'm really down for whatever. Okay... not whatever ever but whatever."

"I feel you. Let's go grab a bite to eat."

"Sounds like a plan."

We went to his car and he drove us to a small cafe. We went in and ordered some small things to nibble on.

"So, that guy..."

"What about him?"

"Like.. who's that?"

"Oh. Alex. He's my... ex."

"Is he messi-"

"We're still cool."

"Oh okay. Do you want him back?"

"I'm still reminiscing it right now. Maybe I wanna be with you."

"Oh..." Austin said with shock in his eyes.

"Oh no... is that bad? I'm so sorry... Too fast right ?"

"No it's not that... it's just... I've never officially HAD a girlfriend."

"Is that so? What happened?"

"They never liked me. It was all fun and games."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. Life is what you make it so."

"Ha. That's their loss because ur amazing. Even though I've only known you for a few hours."

We finished up our stuff and went on a small stroll. We talked about relationships and how they're really overrated. I mean, they are!

"Well, I guess I should get going." I said.

"I could drop you off if you'd like."

"That'll be great."

He drove me home and walked me to my door.

"I had a fun night Austin, we should do it again sometime. Here's my number." I wrote it on a small sheet of paper I had in my bag and gave it to him.

"Call me anytime." I opened the door to find Alex.

"Y/N... Please... chance with me.."

Austin went to his car and rode off after saying goodbye.

"Alex, listen... this isn't going to work okay. It'll just keep happening."

"It won't! I promise." He said leaning in and kissing me.

"Alex..."
