"Hey (y/l/n)" Clint says as he walks past my room
"Hey Barton" I fake smile back and then sneeze
"You ok?" He asks back tracking to my door and I nod while blowing my nose into a tissue
"Just a little cold is all" I say halfway smiling before catching another sneeze before it happens
"I'll be right back" he says and disappears down the hall
I am one of the newest Avengers along with Peter Parker. We both go to the same school together but since becoming an Avenger I decided that I will continue school online while living in the base to get control of my powers. I didn't really have a home life, dad dipped out when i was 2, mom and brother both work 24/7 so they don't even notice I'm here so these people are my family now. Barton, Wanda and Pietro are the ones I'm closest to in the base but with everyone else in the team gone, Barton and I have the whole place to ourselves. I sneeze a few more times before leaning against the headboard of my bed.
"Screw this damn cold weather" I mumble under my breath as I shiver under my blankets
"Friday, please warm Ms. (y/n)'s room" Barton says as he walk in with some medicine in his hand
"Yes sir" she says and I hear the heat kick on in my room
"Here's some DayQuil, ibuprofen for any headache that may come, and a cup of orange soda because it's your favorite" he says and hands it all to me
"What's that smell?" I ask as the scent of spices fill the air
"Uh you'll find out shortly" he says as he runs towards the kitchen
I take my medicine and wait about 30 minutes before Barton comes back in with a tray holding 2 bowls. He sits on my bed beside me and lays the tray in his lap.
"Soup for two and a movie" he says and Friday turns on Aladdin for us to watch
"Yayyyyyy soupppp" I smile as he hands me a spoon and we begin to watch the movie
We get part of the way through the movie and I start to feel extremely tired. I slightly curl up and lay my head against Barton's shoulder. He wraps his arm around me and I scoot closer.
"Thanks dad" I mumble as sleep takes over
"You're.." he hesitates a second and finishes "you're welcome kiddo" he smiles
