4. Where Is Stefan?

Elena walked inside the house while Damon and I were having breakfast. I had to go to school, since I've been absent for the past couple of days. Honestly, finding my brother should be a priority but Damon insisted that I should lead a normal life. "Elena, what a surprise!" Damon walked over to her and kissed her gently. "Is everything alright?"

"I had another dream about Stefan." She looked at my brother with a serious expression on her face. "Wherever he is, he's in pain, Damon. We need to look for him."

I finished my pancakes and stood up after wiping my mouth with a napkin. "We are already looking for him, but we've been unsuccessful."

Elena shook her head from side to side and put one hand on her hip. "Did you look in the quarry? Cause this dream I had was weird. It felt like I was drowning with Stefan."

Damon paused for a second and then glanced at me before looking deep into Elena's brown eyes. "I promise you that I will find Stefan. Trust me!"

"Yeah, we're definitely gonna find Steffy. He's our priority!" I gave her a reassuring smile and she sighed in relief before hugging Damon.

Poor Elena! Stefan is missing, Jeremy is stuck with that psychopath Katherine and Bonnie died at graduation day and nobody knows about it. Summer definitely ended.

After school, I arrived home and Katherine was sitting on the couch with a glass of whiskey and she was obviously drunk. "What the hell are you doing here again?" I asked, annoyed by her presence.

"Nice to see you too, Mia." She chuckled. "Did anybody tell you that I had a terrible dream about Stefan? I almost died in my sleep."

I rolled my eyes and dropped my bag on the couch. "Too bad you're still alive!"

"What about me? Are you glad I'm still alive?" I heard Jeremy's voice and I immediately turned my head to face him and as soon as I saw him, I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist.

My smile was so wide, I bet he thought I was crazy. We spent two days apart and it felt like a lifetime. "I'm so happy you're back!" I kissed his soft lips and wrapped my arms around his neck. "These past couple of days have been torture without you."

Jeremy smiled and put me back on the ground. "Yeah, it was torture for me too. Especially, because I had to put up with Katherine."

"I saved your life, Little Gilbert." Katherine rolled her eyes and Jeremy glared at her.

"You almost bailed on me." Jeremy said.

"But I didn't." She replied.

I laced my fingers with his and smiled at my amazing boyfriend. "She's drunk and we have better things to do." I smirked and wiggled my eyebrows.

Jeremy kissed me and then smiled. "I like what I'm hearing..."

Katherine groaned. "Get a room you two!"

"I'm done!" I walked over to Katherine and grabbed her by the neck. "Stop prying in our lives and get something better to do." I loosened my grip and she fell on the floor, grasping for air. "I won't kill you because you're human and helpless but I wish Silas catches you."

Suddenly, Damon opened the front door and stared at all of us. "Stefan was not in the quarry but we founf the vault he was in." Elena appeared behind him and waved at Jeremy. "Someone took him!"

"Who?" Katherine and I asked in unison. Obviously, I rolled my eyes at her and she smirked, as usual. Damon shook his head, signaling that he didn't know. I bet Silas has something to do with it.

Jeremy entered my bedroom and sat next to me on the bed. "Are you okay? I noticed you left right after Damon announced that Stefan was still missing."

I put Stefan's picture down and sighed. "My brother spent the entire summer being tortured and now he's somewhere else with God knows who. This is a nightmare and I feel so helpless!" My eyes darted at my boyfriend. "I can't help him!"

"Mia, it's not your job to save everybody." He rubbed his hand in circles on my back. "All you can do is wait for some news and hope for the best. Damon and Sheriff Forbes are already doing everything they can."

I stood up. "That's not enough! I won't rest until Stefan is back in this house, moping around like he always does. I love my grumpy and broody brother!"

Jeremy smiled at me and hold me in his arms. "Stefan loves you too. You know, he wouldn't want you to be so upset about this entire situation."

"Well..." I looked into his beautiful brown eyes. "He's not in a position to want anything. It's my job as his loving sister to figure out where he his and bring him back to us."

"You are so stubborn!" Jeremy said while looking at me.

I raised my perfectly plucked eyebrow and gave him my best sassy look. "You knew that came with the package."

He wrapped his arms around my waist. "And what a sexy package it is." Jeremy kissed my nose and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me so I could kiss his lips.

We kissed each other gently and then he pulled me closer to him and our kiss got more intense. I could the warmth of his lips on mine and his arms were holding me tightly. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he put his hands on my thighs, holding me. We fell onto the bed and he was on top of me, kissing me fevereshly. I broke the kiss and took off his shirt, he smiled and kissed my neck, biting it slightly. I rolled over, getting on top of him, and started to unzip my dress. Jeremy sat on the bed and put me on his lap, helping me take off my dress. "You're so beautiful." He whispered, making my skin shiver and my heart pound. I was so in love with him!
