(Meanwhile at the farm)

Lost

The only emotion I have been feeling since the night midnite came back without Rosa. Remembering that night increased the pain in my heart.

2 Nights Ago

Tightening the last bolt on the tire, getting up and wiping the sweat off my forehead. I look at the time and notice it was getting late.

"Hey old man! I think it time to come on in an freshen up!" Playfully glaring at my lady who was on the porch smirking. Shaking my head I walk to her and chuckle.

"Who you callin old? Cause that sure wasn't what came out of that mouth of yours the other night."

(A/N: Cringed when writing that part)

Gasping she hits my chest which I grab and pull her close, with a smug look while she was blushing.

"Oh shush now come on dinner is almost ready." While I hold her waist and move behind her and look out to the sunset leaning my head on hers. Swaying us a bit as she leans more into me.

"Let's soak in this moment for now, my lady " Enjoying the moment for 5 more minutes until it was disrupted.

"NNNEEEIIIGGHHH!!!"

Turning to the side of the porch where Midnite comes galloping fast. Acting fast I rush towards him get a grip of his reigns.

"Woah! Mid Hey! Boy calm down!.... there we go ok boy" petting his mane stroking his sides as he was little jumpy.

"Where is she!"turning to my distressed lady. I looked around for Mids rider. Getting worried not seeing Rosa anywhere.

"Where is Rosa!" Frantically running around the house to see if she was there. While I was quickly putting Mid back in his stable.

"Rosa! Rosa Kalani Makana Blake you better not be playing with us!"

"Rosa!" Searching as far as the remaining sun light could go before turning back with a heavy heart and a sobbing wife.

"N-n-no R-rosa.... w-we can't ahh ....Rosa!" Holding her in my arms I had my own tears streaming down. Getting back to the house she became silent as I carried her to the room. Putting her down gently in bed I caressed her cheek wiping the remaining tears.

Holding her hands in one of mine while the other remains on her cheek.

"I will go out there tomorrow to search for her" just as I said that the sound of thunder and the flashing of lightning presented itself outside the window.

"No... it w-will b-be to dangerous ...n-now I-I-I-" clutching to my shirt crying again. Holding her and rubbing her back in soothing circles.

"Sshhh I can go after but I am still going"
She lifts her head and shakes her head .

"No I-I-I c-can't .... i-i can't l-loose you too." Barely getting out her words.

"And you won't but I will find a way to get her back to us." That night we held each other trying to hold it together for one another.

Flashback End

Not realizing Abbie came back in the room until I felt her soft touch wipe away my tears. I gently grab her waste and pull her towards me leaning my head against her stomach.

"We will get her back" she says while combing my hair with her fingers , kissing the top of my head.

"What is lost, can be found again"

I deeply hope so
