March 9, 1962
London, England
I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping on my nightstand beside my bed. I look up to see that it was five o'clock, time to get ready for work. I take a quick shower, put on my uniform, put on some makeup, and pulled my long brown hair into a ponytail.
I go sit on the couch in my small apartment, and turn on the television to watch the local news. I get up from the couch to fix me a cup of tea. While I am in my small kitchen, I over hear the anchorwoman say that The Beatles, the band that were once called The Quarrymen were in London getting ready to start making their first studio album with new drummer, Richard Starkey, who replaced Pete Best.
I haven't heard anything from them since the thing happened with George a year and a half ago. I wonder if he still remembers me? I finish my tea and I turn off the television, I grabbed my coat and my purse and drove to the local diner that I work at, they open at six thirty in the morning.
I get to the diner to see that, Fred, one of my co workers was already there. I unlocked the front door, walked inside and clocked in. I walked up behind him.
"Hi Fred!" I said.
"H-Hi." He said as he took his hands out of his ginger hair.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Nothing, you just scared me." He laughed.
"Sorry 'bout that." I told him.
"So how've you been?" Fred asked me. Knowing I only work three days a week.
"I've been doing good." I said.
"That's good. Did you hear that The Beatles were in town?" He asked me.
"I did." I said.
The clock struck six thirty and the people started piling in.
After about three hours of serving, the crowd started to slow down. So I decided to make myself some pancakes with some eggs and sausage and I sat down and started eating.
I was putting the last bite into my mouth, and I see that all four of The Beatles walk in. I quickly swallowed my food and took my plate back to the kitchen and grab my notepad to take their order. They all went and sat in the back corner of the restaurant.
"Hello my name is Emily, and I will be taking care of you this morning, can I start you all off with some tea or coffee?" I ask them.
"I'll have coffee." Paul said.
"Tea." John and Richard said.
"I'll have tea also." George said, looking at his menu.
"Okay I'll have that right out for you all." I said, trying to keep it together.
I walk into the kitchen to fix their drinks then I call Fred over.
"Fred!" I yelled his name.
"What's wrong?" He asked me.
"We've got some visitors." I said.
"Well I kind of figured that since the door buzzer went off." He said.
"No, we have special visitors." I told him.
"Okay then." He said annoyingly.
"Go look for yourself." I said as I pushed him out of the kitchen. They were the only ones in the diner, Fred finally walked around.
