(F/n) was walking down the halls of Rakuzan. Compliments and greetings were thrown at her from left and right. She greeted everyone with a smile. This is the usual routine. Girls would be looking at her with admiration in their eyes, guys would blush whenever she looked their way, some even approached her to ask her out on dates, and the teachers would give her warm smiles and greetings.

A certain pair of heterochromatic eyes watched from afar, set on only one girl. They then trailed her as she walked by.

"Be my empress"

(F/n) looked to the side to find the owner of the voice. Akashi? "...What?"

"(F/n), I want you to be my empress," Akashi repeated. (F/n) gave him a look of disbelief. The Akashi Seijuro asking her to be his empress?

'He probably just wants me as a trophy,' she thought as she cautiously asked, "Why me?"

"Because you're perfect for me. You have beauty, brains, and talent. Unlike all the other girls, you're my equal. You would make an excellent empress."

'Yep. I was right.'

"I humbly apologize, Akashi-san, but I must decline."

"Are you defying me, (L/n) (F/n)?"

"Yes, yes I am. Now, if you'll please excuse me," (F/n) said, bowing and walking away. Akashi's eyes widened a little in surprise before returning to their normal size. 'You will be mine. Just you wait...'

From then on, Akashi started to accompany her more often, making it clear to everyone that she's "his". His glares would scare the boys away, but that doesn't stop them from admiring the Rakuzan beauty from afar. Although, the male made sure to give her some space when needed. Seeing that there was no reason to push him away, (F/n) decided to accept his company.

Eventually, their friendship blossomed.

"I like how you never fail to make everyone smile. You're nice, selfless, caring, and you treat everyone as equals. You're good at everything, but you don't rub it in people's faces. I like everything about you. No, I-I love you, (L/n)-san! Will you please go out with me?" a boy said, bowing to the said girl. His cheeks were dusted with light pink as he anticipated her response.

The (h/c) haired girl smiled sadly at him and bowed. "Sorry, but I'm afraid I can't. I'm not interested in getting into a relationship right now." The boy slowly rose from his position with a pained smile on his face. "I understand.Sorry for wasting your time..."

(F/n) gave him an apologetic smile before leaving the rooftop. As soon as she closed the door, an all too familiar voice spoke up, "Another rejection, I see." (F/n) let out a sigh and nodded, already knowing that Akashi was by her side.

"if you don't mind me asking, why aren't you interested in relationships?"

"I just...want to focus on my studies."

Akashi lifted a brow, but said nothing else. They both returned to their classroom before the bell rang. During classes, she could feel Akashi's gaze on her. She got so uncomfortable to the point that she would even attempt to hide from him. Unfortunately, he was able to find her anyways. Knowing that he wouldn't stop until he gets the proper answer, she finally gave in. She approached him when the bell rang and said in defeat, "Fine, you win. Can we go somewhere else to talk though?" Seeing her shift uncomfortably, Akashi silently nodded.

Since classes were finished for the day, they went straight to the student council room to talk. Akashi sat across from (F/n), waiting for her to speak.
