Escape

Trapped

Four walls. The same four walls everyday. The only four walls I know are the ones that keep me captive here in this prison. Sometimes I see more than four walls. I see a forest, the bright blue sky, and flowers. I'm sure this is just me hallucinating though from the lack of food and water.

"We will escape Cassie don't worry one day we will break free and be able to do whatever we want" my wolf said. She's always positive and it gives me a little hope that someday we will get out of here.
"I sure hope so Lia." I tried to hide the sadness in my voice but I'm positive Lia heard it well.

Ever since my dad gave me up to the Alpha things have been hard. My whole family turned their back on me. I have a tattoo on my arm. It's an arrow and I was born with it. Everyone seems to know what it means except me, no one will tell me. I used to think it would point me to my destiny but so far it's been nothing but a burden. I've tried to get it off but no matter how hard I scrub it still remains.

I was shaken from my thoughts when I heard the door handle move. I quickly stood up ready for whatever was going to come through the door. As I watched a figure creep in I realized who it was. The Alpha. I looked at the ground avoiding eye contact, I wasn't supposed to look at him in the eye unless he commanded me to. He locked the door behind him so I couldn't get out.

"Hello arrow" he said with a smile that sent chills down my spine. Everyone who comes in the room calls me arrow. I don't exactly know why but I'm guessing they want to remind me of what got me here in the first place.
"I'm talking to you arrow" he said with a stern voice.
"Y-yes Alpha?" I responded with a shaky voice. I didn't want to be scared of him I want to be stronger but I'm not.
"Have you an answer for me yet?" He asked me knowing good and well that I knew what he wanted.
"Let me take over Cassie we can leave for good if you would just let me. I could fight back for you" said Lia. I quickly cut her off I didn't need her to distract me.
"N-no Alpha the answer has always been no" I said, my voice still shaking slightly.
He growled slightly under his breath. Before I knew it I was up against the wall in a choke hold. I struggled to get out of his grip but he was much stronger than me.
"Maybe this will change your mind little arrow" he said with another growl.
I can't take this pain anymore it's to much I didn't want to feel it anymore I didn't want to feel anything. A little part of me wanted him to kill me but the rest of me wanted to live. I knew my only chance of getting out of here was to let Lia take over. I wasn't strong enough but she was. I let out a breath and let Lia take over. My bones began to shift and crack as I shifted into my wolf form. The Alpha let go of me and commanded that I shift back. His Alpha voice didn't work on me and thank god for that.
"Time for some pay back" Lia said as I launched at the Alpha through the air knocking him to the ground. Once he was down I crashed through the little window in my room. I was then welcomed by fresh air and grass beneath my paws, I was grateful for this.

I ran for what seemed like hours, and it probably was. We had gotten out of the packs territory a long time ago. I hope this will make it harder for the trackers to find me. As soon as I thought I was safe I heard howls from behind me. They found me. I ran faster praying they wouldn't catch me. But I didn't have much luck and they caught up to me. They circled me and made their way to me slowly. I stood my ground growling and pacing. A few seconds went by and more howls were heard. I looked away to see where they were coming from and that was my first mistake. Before I knew it one of the wolves was on top of me. The wolves teeth found its way to my neck and I let out a whimper. I struggled underneath the larger wolf until I heard a voice.

"Stop!"

I could send the power of his voice. He must be the Alpha and we must have stumbled into another packs territory. A wolf that was trying to get to me shifted into his human form and tried to make peace.
"We are very sorry for coming into your territory. Let us just take what is ours and go" said the man.
"What is it that is yours?" Questioned the Alpha.
"This wolf sir she's quite dangerous seeing as she is our prisoner" he responded back.
"I don't think she is yours for the taking" said the Alpha with a growl.
"She is claimed by our Alpha sir we must take her back" he said as the wolf on me started dragging me by my neck. I struggled to get out of his bite but it was no use. They will all take turns beating me for leaving I know it. All hope seeped away from me quickly. I closed my eyes and felt the wolf holding me had suddenly let go. I opened my eyes to see that the Alpha had shifted into his wolf and he had taken down the wolf who was holding me. I stumbled back as the two fought. Other wolves from this territory aided in the fight by taking on the others. Soon the survivors had fled back and others lay dead. The Alpha stood in front of me. He was much bigger than I was.
"Shift" he commanded me in his Alpha tone. Of course it didn't faze me in any way so I backed away. Maybe I can still make a run for it.
"I said shift" he commanded again growling this time. I looked around seeing members of his pack had surrounded me. It was no use. I was trapped again. I shifted into my human form naked on the cold grass. I covered myself the best I could until I felt something warm on my body. A woman had placed a blanket around me. Her hand had slightly touched my shoulder and I flinched scared she was going to hurt me. I was surprised when she gave me a warm smile instead.
"Hello dear. I'm Rena please let me help you to the pack doctor it seems you are injured" she held out her hand to help me up but I rejected it and stood up myself. I didn't want anyone touching me.

She and the other wolves led me to their pack house. I began to think if this was my freedom after all. Will this be my happy ending?
