Chapter 2
After talking to Bryan, Bryan and I said our goodbyes and I headed back home. No one could pick us up because mom and dad had to work late, see they are the President and Vice Presidents of a huge company, and let's just say I'm thankful for what I got. So I walked home with Mike and Rachel, who was quiet the whole time we walked home, which was not normal for her, she always babbled on and on about useless things trying to impress Michael. But today was different, even Mike noticed and looked at me with a questionable face, and I shrugged, and we kept on walking home.
Once we got home Rachel and I went up to my purple and black room, which by the way, were my favorite colors, like usual. She plopped down on to my bean bag and took out her homework, she still hadn't said anything to me, and so I had enough.
"Okay, what's wrong and don't you dare say nothing, because you always babble on and on to impress Mike and on the walk home you were so quiet it was like you weren't there, so whats wrong, did something happen?" I asked all on the same breath.
"I'm just nervous."
"Nervous? Nervous for what, come on tell me."
"I'm nervous for tomorrow night, on the walk to your house I was thinking to myself like what do I do to have your brother all on me, to be with me the whole night, what do I put on to wear? Do I wear something tight, or something comfortable? There were so many questions in my head and the main one was, was I going to satisfy hi-".
I stopped her from continuing and I look at her with an emotionless face.
"Rachel what do you mean satisfy?" I asked now concerned.
She didn't answer, she just looked down on to her homework and started writing god knows what,
"Rachel did you think you were going to hav-, are you crazy?! You don't want to lose it to him! I thought you wanted to wait for the right guy!"
"He is the right guy Dany! He is... "
"He barely talks to you! Please Rachel your making a big mistake I know you like him a lot but... I don't think you should lose it to him. It will feel all awkward for me if that happened. You two will feel awkward! So please just think about it." I asked pleading
"I have already thought about it Dany!" she said as she got up and walked to the door, but before she closed the door she said,
"I thought you would understand, but I guess I was wrong." And just like that she left my house leaving me confused, unfocused, shocked and worried all at the same time.
Mom and dad still weren't home so it was just me and my brother in this big white and beige house. I went down stairs to go check on him because it was all quiet. But as I headed down stairs, I saw Mike stare at the blank screen of the TV, sitting on our white leather couch.
"Um Mike are you ok?" I asked
"I heard, I had heard everything." He mumbled. Taking my last few steps down the stairs, I walked and sat down next to him on the couch.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked.
He sighed, "You may think that I'm crazy, but what the hell, who isn't?"
I laughed, "What is it?"
"Um okay... you know what Rachel said?"
"Yea, listen Mike don't be mad at her or anything, you know she has always had a crush on yo-."
"No, listen would you?" he laughed. "I um... Geez how do I say this without feeling stupid?"
"Just say it Michael!" I said impatiently
