It had been a tireless day of fighting in the Nether, and after all this he was tired. Entering his windowless room he sat on his bed before laying down, he needed sleep. He closed his eyes and attempted to think of nothing, but all that ran throughout his mind was her, Aphmau. Ever since he ran off he couldn't stop thinking of her, was she okay? How was she feeling? How was her kid? That thought made him boil with rage, she promised to wait, promised. But she hadn't, she'd gone and made a life for herself, made a love. Sitting up he punched the wall, he loved her and she abandoned him! He had told her how he felt, how Garroth felt and she'd put that aside and left them! No, he couldn't dwell on this, he had to work to do. Every day the Shadow Lord grew stronger. Apparently he had a new body, he had seen it, it was horrifying . No, he could think about all this later, for now he needed sleep. Pulling the covers over himself he laid back and closed his eyes. It was silent for a little while, and he felt sleep overtake him, but she popped up again. Angry he sat up, why wouldn't she get out of his mind she'd chosen someone, not him, he had to get over her. But it had been years now and still he thought of her night after night; well there weren't really nights in the Nether. They'd come here today, she'd acted as though they had never had a falling out. And when she saw the shadow lords face, the look of terror had hurt him. But not as much as the desperation in her voice, the desperation for him to come home. He'd beaten Gene, but he'd ran off before anything else could happen. Suddenly his door was slammed open, Zenix angrily barged in, "Would you quit banging on the walls damnit," His face was pure annoyance "Some of us need rest after actually beating Gene." Laurence sighed, apparently hitting Gene once was helping. "Don't speak to me like that," Laurence growled. Zenix snorted, "What are you going to do about it." Laurence was in no mood to fight, "I'll try to be quiet if you get out." He replied coldly. With a roll of the eyes Zenix left, leaving Laurence alone with his thoughts. Why did he still care? All he could think about was her, in the beginning he'd preoccupied himself with the task of taking down the Shadow Lord, but now... NO! He must not think of what if, she'd chosen a path as had he and there was no point in loving her now.
