Some kids told nasty rumors about the school, Shinsuke decided to save the school...

In the middle of the night...

"Takasugi, should you be staying out this late? You could actually get disown this time." It was Katsura.

"No need to worry. I'm going to get disown tomorrow anyway. And you, Katsura? You could lose your scholarship if you're caught hanging around here this late." Shinsuke said.

"You needn't worry. I was getting sick of the worthless, spoiled education anyway. I told them to run before nightfall. After all, depths ought to be repaid. The prestigious Military Arts Academy biggest prodigy and bad boy are teaming up. We should be able to stall the officials." Katsura said.

"Two students from a prestigious school? Don't make me laugh." It was Gintoki, grinning.

"Don't you mean two den of evil that's training rebels to topple the government, the Shoka Sonjuku school four bad kids?" It was Kaya, grinning.

"Why are you two here? How the she found out?" Katsura ask.

"She didn't. She forced it out of me." Gin said.

"If force means muttering all the time and thinking to find a way not to tell, then yes it is." Kaya said.

The two sweat drop.

"I thought I told you to run." Katsura said.

"That was for Shoyo. Why would I have to run?" Gintoki ask.

"We're not cowards, you know. Besides, you guys learn how to play hooky and enjoy the nightlife.You're part of our school, already. Of course we've come to say goodbye." Kaya said.

"But you've done enough. We'll handle the rest, so get out of here. Shoyo, Kaya, and me are nomads to begin with. We can find a home anywhere. But you guys are different. If you get involved any further, you won't be able to go back. Do you wanna be stripped by your samurai status?" Gin asked.

"If I had anywhere to go, I wouldn't be here in the first place." Shinsuke said as he stops hiding.

"I've been all alone since my grandma died." Katsura said as he stops hiding.

"More than anything. I have no longer any ambitions I'd need some kind of status to fulfill." Katsura said.

"Even if I had ambitions like that, I wouldn't want them just handed to me. I'd find them with my own eyes..." Shinsuke said as he takes out his wooden sword and Kaya has her umbrella as usual.

"... and grab them with my own hands." Katsura said as he take out his wooden sword.

Gintoki shadowed his eyes eyes as Kaya smirk with amusement.

"I see... Then I won't say anything more, then." Gintoki said.

Then the officials saw them.
