You were with Finn, Josh O, Quincy, and Nick.
You were there for Josh, your best friend. But you were also there to get closer to finn.
There was definitely tension between you two. or at least you thought.
splashing in the water, you stared at him with just half of your face above water.
this was your thought of trying to be flirtatious.

finally he caught my eyes. He smiled his big smile and treaded a couple feet closer.
I looked down at the water, what was I trying to accomplish?
Glancing back at Josh, Quincy, and Nick, I realized they were all pretty far away. We were both around thirty feet away from them. I glanced back at him to find him still staring back at me.
we caught each other in a stare. and for a moment it felt like magic. like the universe stopped spinning for a moment. just a moment to allow us our peace. just a moment too short. just a moment too long.
just a moment ruined by a sudden wave knocking me under the water.
I was only under for a couple seconds.
but it was enough to realize I had no want to resurface myself. I had completely embarrassed myself in front of my potential romance. I let myself drift for a second. I let myself drown.
But the seconds passed quicker, and Finn yanked me out.
His arms gripped strongly around my shoulders and waist.
Our noses touched, and our lips were just centimeters apart.
We both did the same thing, flicker our eyes to each others lips, then we met glances. his eyelashes fluttered for a moment, awning his deep brown eyes.
I could've stared for hours, but I was cut off by his lips plummeting into mine at full force. we drifted back for a second before he stopped us.
he was much taller than me, and the height difference was making our lip lock harder to have.
He reached under my thighs and hoisted me onto his hips.
I would've felt embarrassed in front of everyone, but after a quick look, I found that no one was paying attention to us.
"watch out for that wave," Finn murmered and cut me off mid laugh with another heavy kiss.
this time though, his lips pushed to pry mine apart.
I accepted.
everything felt like velvet. velvet gliding against smooth skin.
it was blissful.
