Semper Fidelis Means Always Faithful <3

I'm in the kitchen cooking up a very delicious and special meal for my handsome little boy Jaciel and I. Today we received the amazing news that my husband,Emry was coming home for good in just under a month. Excitement rushes through me every time at just the thought of having him home to ourselves again. My baby looks so gorgeous sitting on one of the chairs around the kitchen island,coloring in his dinosaur book. He has hazel eyes,lightly tan skin,and shiny,sleek light brown-blonde hair.

"Mommy look, you like it?" He says excitedly, waving the coloring book around to get my attention. "Aw baby its beautiful, just like my handsome baby boy."I tell him as I see his face brighten up with a big beautiful smile. I reach up and grab him,Carrying all his weight on my right hip."I love you"I whisper in his little ear and give him a huge kiss on his slightly pink cheek. 

"I love you too mommy,like this"he yells stretching his hands wide open to show me what he meant."Wow that's a lot how much is that again?"I ask having heard this a handful of times but, never getting tired of hearing it. "Like a big blue dinosaur"He yells excitedly while grinning so big, like getting gifts on Christmas morning." Well I love you like Mickey loves Minnie"I tell him with a big smile on my face. "Wow mommy you beat me, that's a lot"He says surprised at having heard my love towards him.

"Come on baby, dinner time"I tell him and put him down on his feet so that he can go sit down. He quickly runs over to our big, oval, marbled table which contains six chairs,although my husband is in Iraq and its just my son and I in our huge,navy blue house which consists of five bedrooms,two bathrooms,an entertainment room,the gym,the movie room,kitchen,the living room,and the pool / Jacuzzi room.My family though, does come over frequently for dinner. Just as I sat our plates down on the table the doorbell rang."Can I get it , can I get it?"Jaciel asks me repeatedly.

"We can both get it sweetie, it's probably just grandma coming to eat all of our food again"I tell him faking a horrified expression. I yanked the door open and as I took in the sight and the reality sunk in,I felt my heart break into a tiny little pieces. Right outside my door,standing as straight and as still as a statue is a soldier who I recognized from pictures taken by my husband at their military base, holding a folded up flag. His name was Jason.Jason was young,in his early thirties.

He was about six feet tall,muscular with blonde hair,blue eyes,and a light shade of skin. "Heidi Navarro?"He asked me and all I could do was nod my head to give him an answer. "Mrs.Navarro I'm here to offer my dearest condolences"is all I heard before I broke into hysterical sobs,my tears falling rapidly down my cheek. I covered my face with my hands while sobbing uncontrollably. I was highly aware that Jason continued his speech, but I couldn't be forced to listen to his painful words.

"Mommy are you okay"someone spoke beside me, and that is when I realized Jaciel was right next to me,a worried expression on his Innocent face that was completely heartbreaking.I knelt down beside him and hugged him forcefully as I came to realization that my perfect little life was now ruined. I would never get to see Emry again . I would never feel his embrace,I would never feel his delicate kiss that made me get butterflies in my stomach despite the three years of marriage we already had. I couldn't believe such a young,beautiful guy, just twenty seven years of age could be taken away from life so quickly leaving me,his wife at twenty two years old a widow and a single mother to my little four year old angel. I do know one thing for sure,I would always remain faithful to the one and only love of my life.
