I know i haven't updated in so long and i'm so sorry!! I've been wicked busy with school, and drivers ed (+lessons), then all my school stress and after school activities, it's just been a lot. I really love this book though so during my April vacation (The week of April 16th) look out for new updates!! I promise I will try to get my life back together lol. I'm also planning on maybe starting so "IT" books soon so stay tuned! Let's get back to the chapter, this is the next morning when the Thirlwall family plans on telling all of their friends about the New Years trip!

I woke up by a slobbery lick to my face. I looked over and saw Harlem, it looked like he was smiling at me. I pet his neck and kissed his forehead before he ran out of the room. I looked over to my phone and saw a note laid on top. 

Kaysie,

I'll be out getting some last minute grocery's and some little essentials for the trip. Please tell your friends about the trip. If their parents need some parental consent tell them to text or call me. Thanks honey, i'll be back soon enough. Mickey is watching the twins, so when you wake up if you could please help that would be great. We will open Christmas gifts when I get home.

My mom would be the type of person to go out of Christmas to go shopping. I put it down and stretched before getting out of bed. I put my sweatshirt around myself and grabbed my phone before walking downstairs. "Please stop crying Rosie!" I heard before reaching the last step. "Mickey?" I asked as I heard a lot of sighs and groans. "Kaysie! Thank go you're awake! Please calm Rosie down! I have to feed Leo" Mickey panicked. She rushed Rosie into my hands and ran to the kitchen to feed Leo. 

I put her against my chest so her head laid on my shoulder. She started to quiet down the more I cooed to her and rubbed her back. Ginger was at my feet, licking my toes. "Eww Ginger you're so gross" Dawn said from the couch. Ginger ran up to her and started attacking her feet as well. I laughed and went to the kitchen to put Rosie in her basket. "Need any help Mick?" I asked. She hummed. "Can you give Rosie her bottle while I try to burp Leo?" I nodded and grabbed her bottle on the counter. "Such a good way to start Christmas Day" I joked as I put the bottle into Rosie's mouth. "I know right. I don't know how Suzie is still sleeping through all of this commotion" Mickey giggled. 

"Can I eat Eggo's now?" Jane asked at the entrance of the kitchen. "Mom said she'll make breakfast when she gets back. Wait a little longer Jane" Mickey told her. She sighed and nodded before walking back to the couch with Dawn. "It's Christmas!!!" I heard a yell from upstairs. I heard a lot of running and then tumbling. I put the bottle down and ran to the stairs. Suzie was sprawled out on the floor. "Did you just fall?" I asked. "Yep. But it's Christmas! So it's okay!" She laughed. I went back to the kitchen and fed the rest of the bottle to Rosie before I burped her. 

"I'm home!" Mom called from the newly opened door. "Mommy!" Dawn called running up to her. "Suzie are you okay?" Mother asked. She gave a thumbs up and everyone laughed. "Who's ready to make some breakfast?" Mama asked. "Me!!" Dawn yelled. "Eggo?" Jane asked. "Not quite" Mother chuckled. She put all her bags on the counter and pulled out bacon, eggs, toast, butter, and chocolate milk. "Christmas breakfast!" Suzie yelled running into the kitchen. "We'll make lunch and dinner later" Mom winked. 

We all helped her put the rest of the groceries and supplies for the trip away before we all washed our hands and started to help cook the food. Jane and Dawn were in charge of keeping the twins controlled in the living room. Mickey did the bacon, I did the eggs, Suzie did the toast, and mom set the table and poured the milk. When everything was done, mom called everyone in and we all ate together.

"So did you tell everyone yet Kaysie?" Mom asked. "Oh, no! I didn't have time too, I was trying to help with the twins" I remembered. "It's okay. How about I help you after we finish eating? Mickey and Suzie can clean everything up and I'll plan with you what to say and to who" Mom suggested. I nodded and shoved a piece of egg in my mouth. "Dawn, please eat the eggs with a fork" Mother scowled Dawn. Dawn looked up at her and looked back down saying sorry quickly while everyone lightly chuckled.
