Not everyone understands
And that's okay
Not everyone has to
For those who don't get it
For those who don't know how to help
For all those families out there
That just don't know why this is happening
Don't feel bad
It's okay for you to not know
It's okay for you to be confused
We always talk about the world
As if it is broken
And for all those gentle kids out there
Who feel more broken than the world itself
But I want to acknowledge this
We see you
We see all the ones around us trying to help
We feel your compassion sometimes
So just know we want you to stick around
Even when we push you away
