1 Old Friend

The alarm goes off causing Yuu to wake up. He shuts it off and groans, "Great, another year of hell." Yuu isn't the brightest student or even close to be Athletically capable. The only thing Yuu lives up to going to school though, is his crush Mikaela.

A couple of years ago Mika and Yuu were just orphans in a small orphanage called Hyakuya Orphanage Center. On the first day, Mika was the first to welcome him and look out for him. He never got a chance to tell him how he feels. This year, there have been rumors that Mikaela is going to his school.

Yuu got dressed and walked downstairs. "Good morning Yuu." Yoichi, Yuu's friend/roomate, said. Yoichi walks up to Yuu with a cup of coffee and bread. "Good morning, and ah thank you Yoichi." Yuu slightly smirk and accepted the offering. Yoichi smiled, "It's the least I can do since we are heading back to school. Whoop whoop!" Yoichi dances causing Yuu to roll his eyes. "Yay more bullying, and getting deeper in depression." Yuu remarks sarcastically. "Whatever! Yuu you need to be more positive at things. Stop being a grouch." Yoichi suggests. Yuu shrugs and carries his bag. "Let's start walking."

After the two arrived at school, Shinoa and Mitsuba ran to Yuu and Yoichi and gave them a big hug. "Yay we're finally together again! How was summer break guys?" Mitsuba cheered. "Decent." Yuu said bringing the vibe down. Yoichi face palms and Yuu turns around confused, "What? At least I didn't go into detail." Yuu complains. "But better news." Shinoa started, "Mikaela Hyakuya is coming to our school!" Yuu blushed and looked away. He can just remember Mika like it was the first time meeting him...

Yuu slams his bag filled with clothes and small material on the ground. Filled with rage and distrust, he goes to a corner by himself and rest his head on his hands. Mikaela notices him, and realized all he needs was a friend. Mika walks up to him and picks his bag up. "Hey you dropped your bag." Mika said while giving a friendly vibe off. Yuu gets up and takes the bag and says nothing. When he tries to walk away Mika grabbed his hand. In surprise, Yuu looks back at Mika. "I'm Mikaela what's your name?" Mika asks. Yuu sighs, "Yuu." Mika giggles, "I'll call you Yuu-chan it's cuter." Yuu shakes his head and tries to escape Mika's grip. "Anyway, welcome to the Hyakuya Orphanage. Come on let's go meet your brothers and sisters." Mika said beckoning Yuu to follow. And he did and was starting to like the place.

Yuu sighed and blushed even more. "Um who's Mikeelaie Hyuhkiya?" Yoichi asked and completely butchering Mika's name which personally stung for Yuu. Shinoa sighed, "First off it's 'Mikaela Hyakuya', and second off he is a singer and songwriter. Literally everyone loves him! Including me, and he's totally going to ask me out." Shinoa fangirled hard. "By the looks of him," Kimizuki, who came out of nowhere, starts off saying, "He looks gay." Shinoa rolled her eyes, "I mean not everyone is completely straight." Kimizuki shrugged, "Sure ok."

The bell rings and everyone except Yuu came in the building and head to class. Yuu sighed and got lost in his thoughts, "He should've been here by now. I really want to see him..." Yuu sat on the steps of the school entrance and sulk. But shortly it was interrupted. Yuu looked at the street and an old, what appears to be a woman, was walking down the street about to get hit. "Oh no!" Yuu ran to the street and picked up the lady and helped her crossed the street on time. "Thank you young man." The lady said. Yuu bowed and smirked. When Yuu turned around and was leaving, the woman sneakily put a small box in Yuu's bag. The woman ran in a back alley and transformed back to Asuramaru. He took a deep breath, "I hope I picked the right person this time."

In the meantime, Mikaela was getting dressed and packing up his things for school. His "friend"/manager, Ferid, came in upset. "Mika! What are you doing? You supposed to be practicing." Mika groaned, "When can I be a normal teenager?" Ferid crossed his arms angrily, "You chose this life, and you should live it." Mika sighed, "I don't even have any friends my age. The last time I had friends was in the orphanage.." Ferid looked the other way, thinking what he should say. "Fine maybe you can attend school." Mika grew in excitement. "Oh my god! Thanks Ferid!" Mika gave him a hug which made Ferid a little uncomfortable at first, but he gave in and hugged back.

Mikaela was escorted to school by his chauffeur in a limo. Once Mikaela stepped out and walked near the school, there was an old lady that fell and couldn't get up. "Dammit life alert." The lady groaned. Mika saw the old lady and ran to help her up. "Are you okay?" Mika asked. "Thank you sir so much! Aren't you Mikaela! I love you." The old woman bowed before him. Mika blushed and cleared his throat, "Please, you don't have to do that." Mika helped her up again. Then, he dug in his pocket and gave her a 20 dollar bill. "Take care okay." Mika waved and walked away. Before he walked away the woman sneaked a box in his pocket.

When Mika walked in the hallway there was no one there. "Hmm class must have started." He went in the office to receive a schedule.

Yuu yawned and moans in distress. "Sooo boring." He complained. Yoichi shushed him, "Stop Yuu," The class phone rang and the teacher went to get it. Immediately after, the class broke into chatter. "I guess Mikaela isn't coming at all." Shinoa said disappointingly. Yuu sighed. He was hoping for Mika too. In a few minutes, the teacher came back and announced, "Class we have a new student joining us today." The teacher opens the door and Mikaela came in the classroom. Everyone, especially the girls, squealed and went into chatter. Yuu on the other hand, was staring hard and blushing like crazy towards Mika. Mikaela shortly caught eyes with Yuu and blushed. Yuu quickly looked away and tried to control his heartbeat. Yoichi looked and Yuu then looked at Mika. "You like him?" Yoichi asks. Yuu quickly snapped out of it and said, "No! I was just looking..." Yoichi smiled, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Yuu blushes and gets back to his daydream about Mika.
