What would your first thoughts be if you found out you were going to be moving to Los Angeles, California?

Most people would be excited to live in a place where all the celebrities live and where all the opportunities are. I bet more than half of you dream of living there one day.

For me though, it was different.

When my mom told be she got a job here and we had to move all the way from Florida to here, I wasn't too excited.

I guess I was a little excited about the dance opportunities I would be getting. I've been a dancer practically my whole life and LA is the home of some of the best choreographers out there.

But school... And socializing... That was my problem. I'm a very shy person, considering I've basically moved schools every year and I never really get to grow close to people. But my mom promised this is her last time moving schools.

I've never really had a best friend that's always there for me or someone who I can talk to all the time. I've learned to live with it though.

I know how a lot of teens are in LA though... Especially at my age, most of them aren't the kindest. But maybe something will change. Maybe I will actually have a better life here.

For the past week I've been here in LA, all I've been doing is thinking about my new school. It's a public school but it's known for being really fancy and 'high class'. I can't believe my mom got hired there.

Things are definitely going much breed for my Brother Aryn though. He's 20 years old and he's practically obsessed with photography and adventuring. He thinks LA is a good place for him and for me and my mom.

Me and Aryn are very close. We used to fight a lot when we were younger, but after our parents spilt we decided we needed to be there for our mom and help her out together.

I guess my life isn't all that bad. Just a few ups and downs. But that's what life is. Being 16 isn't easy at all.

My plan is to just focus on school and dance for now. That's what's important.

Speaking of school, I'm pretty sure my mom has been yelling at me for the past three minutes for me to get my ass downstairs so we can get to Carter.

"Aria Shay Rose, I swear to god if I have to call you down again I will-"

"I'm coming, mom!" I yell and grab my baby pink jansport bag, running out my room and down the stairs.

My mom rolls her eyes once I get to her. Typical mom.

"Let's go. We're going to be late" She says and leads the way to the garage.

It's only 7:00 am but we live on a hill so it's better if we leave the house early.

I get into the back seat and pull out my phone, taking a quick selfie on Snapchat and posting it. As you can tell, I'm a bit of a narcissist.

"Are you excited?" My mom questions as she pulls out of the driveway and onto the road.

"Not really" I admit.
