The hotel was like any other; modern, well built but something dark was lying under the surface- I knew it. Branches clattered like skeleton bones. Dead, dry leaves clung to the branches and fluttered in the wind around the hotel. A cold shiver ran down my spine as I crept towards the icy footpath, breaking the fog that was lurking in my way. My trembling hand reached towards the wooden door as the wind screamed at me as it blew past. The door opened slightly with a creak inviting me in....
At the corner of my eyes, I could see a shadow that looked like a monster ready to pounce at me and then a man stepped out of the shadow, in the blink of an eye, chilling me to the bone. He had dark stains under his red-rimmed eyes, his lips were pale and crusty. I noticed several deep scars across his left eye and the revolting, gruesome features made me sick.
"Welcome to Deathly Hallow, you must be Adrianna. Your room number is 13, please feel free to make yourself comfortable" He croaked then gave a warm smile that quickly faded away from his face.
"Whatever y'do'. D'NOT. GO. N'. DA'. BATHROOM. N'. DA. ATTIC" He seemed lost in a strange kind of reverie, gazing out through the dusty cracked windows. I felt a cold shudder trickle down my spine. This man definitely seemed sinister. There was almost something about him that made me hope I'd never run into him in the dark. I turned away and barrelled at full speed up the stairs not realising I was in the spooky floor of the bathroom. His words flared through my mind, saying each word slowly and carefully there was a real threat under the words. But it was just so tempting, it was like a strong force begrudging me towards it. Glancing around nervously, I continued down the hallway.
My hands turned cold as the metal hand knob rattled. I sneaked in with a shock, it was pristine and dazzling. However, there was a faint smell of blood hanging in the air. The tap was right in front of me by the sink so I just decided to wash my face since everything was perfectly fine. I flipped the tap up and sparkling, crystal clear water poured splashing into the sink. I threw a handful on my face and stared open-mouthed in shock. Shadows swirled around my feet, sucking me in and the sound of heavy footsteps came all of a sudden. Whirling around I see nothing. A cold breath blew on my neck making the hairs on my neck prickle up. I faced my reflection in the mirror and was horrified instead of water on my face there was the darkest, red-coloured blood on my face. I let out a blood- curdling scream as there standing right behind me was the sinister man grinning devilishly, holding a blood-stained axe aimed at me. WHACK!!!
