H.R here, i hope you enjoy this book as it is going to be different from previous books i have written about fantasy and fairytales. If you're still around after my long break, you may have noticed that my most read book, Spiral Charm, has been removed. This is because the genre no longer interests me and i ran out of ideas. However, thank you so much for the 2.5K reads and the most supportive, kindest comments. I appreciate it very much. :)

"...everyone says that patience is a virtue," the girl suddenly turned to look at my saddened face, gleaming tears evident in her pained eyes. "But i wonder if it really is true..."

Before i had a chance to open my mouth, she darted down the corridor, leaving me to gaze after her in solitude. My legs were frozen on the spot, as if strong, invisible hands were preventing me from following her. I wanted to go after her. I wanted to tell her that she wasn't alone. I wanted to tell her that her patience had payed off...

But I couldn't move a single millimetre. I couldn't do a thing.

The next day, the news of her death spreaded like wildfire...

In an instant, i awoke with beads of sweat trickling down my skin. There had to be a way to break this reality, to change what was coming ahead.

I had to save her. Her life depended on me.

Clenching my fists, i slowly rose from my seat and approached her. This time it won't happen. This time I'll say the right things....
