10 - Clowning Around

Narrator's POV

When you checked off Baroness's box you decided you needed a break. You started to walk towards a rollercoaster that seemed quick and exciting. You noticed that when the cart came up no one was their. Even the clown that was giving kids balloons wasn't around that area.

(Y/N) POV

I felt a chill around my body as I sat in the cart. Oh what am I doing. It's like I'm making that stupid decision that people make in horror movies when they are about to die. Well I can't give up an opportunity for riding a rollercoaster, so I'm doing it. I pulled down the bar for the cart and it started.

It went really fast and eventually you came up to a dark tunnel. You hated the darkness and you started freaking out when you went in the cave like building. It was so quiet, like something could happen at any moment. You started to feel like you were going up a hill and a steep one should I say. You were still in the tunnel though.

When you finally exited out of the tunnel you were on top of an extremely steep drop. Then you heard, "Boo!" and you screamed. As soon as you screamed the rollercoaster went down the drop and the person that made you scared started laughing. You were scared shitless. When the ride was over you ran out of that cart like Sanic the freaking hotdog. You took deep breaths and turned around to see a blue, red, and white colored clown. He was still laughing from you screaming when he scared you.

You made a look at him and continued to breath slowly. You went to look back where the clown was but he wasn't there. Your chest tightened and looked back where you first looking, he was there. You gasp and tried to run but he stops you and giggles while doing so. "Wow! I haven't scared a newcomer that easily before!" he said happily. You stare dumbfounded. "How did you manage to get inside the cart like that!" I yelled. "I have my ways..." the clown said slyly. "Oh it had to be me! I have bad terms with the darkness and you just made it worse!" I yelled. "Well that just makes it easier for you to get scared then right?" and with that he giggled. "Yes I mean it's already bad that my friends tease me about having Nyctophobia." I exclaimed. "Oh don't worry about your friends. If they tease you about something then tease them back! It helps with confidence in my opinion... Oh! I forgot to ask. What's your name?" "(Y/N), what's yours?" I asked. "You can call me Beppi." he spoke.

"Now what is a cute gal like you out here all alone?" he asked while still smiling. "Oh I'm just taking a break from trying to save my friends. Now I know what your thinking, why is she taking a break when she's supposed to be helping friends? Well it's tiresome doing it that's why." "So your trying to save your friends? From what?" he asked. "Well it's kinda weird, but from the Devil... you trailed off. His happy go lucky self did not look so happy anymore. In fact he looked at you like you were some crazed murderer who had killed his whole family.

Beppi's POV

I just started backing away towards my tent. I suddenly realized why Baroness couldn't hang out today. (Y/N) told me one thing and I made sure to keep that in mind. Afraid of the dark. I ran into my tent and made sure no lights were on. I then sat in my bumper car and turned the engine on ready to ride.

(Y/N) POV

He slowly backed away to his little circus tent and I followed. The tent was dark. There were no lights on and you were already scared because of what Beppi did to you earlier. You stumbled around the darkness aware of everything that dared to move in your sight. The all of a sudden lights came on and you were at the edge of the rollercoaster track.

You looked to your left and saw a crazed looking Beppi in a bumper car. He pushed on the gas and soon enough he was driving towards you. You started shooting at the insane clown. He drove straight at you and you jumped. There were now ducks that were attached to string and being waved around to the left. You shot at them and then continued to shoot at Beppi who was still trying to run you over. He ran into the wall this time instead of hitting you, and he fell out. You were about to go check on him but remembered what Baroness could do and figured Beppi would be fine.

He arose with a balloon head and started sending out balloon dogs to get you. That lazy ass is to lazy to fight me himself? Fine then let it be. You were wondering where the heck these balloon animals were coming from and kept following the metal tube. It looked like it came from Beppi's ass. Holy fuck he's making balloon animals from his ass. What the shit. You were now determined to not let the balloons touch you because you were afraid your theory was true. After a little bit more shooting Beppi started to float up. (You'll float too.)

When he came back down he was riding a green carousal horse. He was bouncing on it and looked like he was enjoying this fight more than you did. A rollercoaster then came and you had to jump on it. The horse started to shoot horseshoes at you. They magically floated up and down when they came after you. You ducked and jumped to get past them. You finally were able to get off the rollercoaster and concentrate more on Beppi.

The horse came back but it was yellow this time. You were confused until it spit out a whole line of horseshoes at you. You tried to dodge but they were to fast and they pinned you on a wall while all of them scratched you. You eventually got out of them after pulling them out with your free hand. When you got out you shot at Beppi with some extra moves and he started crying. He then fell off of his horse and the horse went away.

You saw a giant carousal rise up behind you. He was laughing and down came some platforms you could jump on. You heard a noise behind you and it was the rollercoaster, so you jumped on the platforms and continued to shoot Beppi. The rollercoaster was a lot faster than you remembered and it soon drove away. Beppi started to spit out 4 little penguins. Awe their so cute! I could just pinch their little cheeks. You saw them holding baseballs and you questioned it. They then started throwing them at you and you dodged as best you could. You got hit once in the leg and it hurt a lot. You were astonished by the penguins strength. You heard a noise again and you jumped on the platform because the rollercoaster was coming back. You expected the penguins to jump up with you but instead they let themselves get run over. What the hell?

You shot one more extra at Beppi and he started to fall apart. The rollercoaster stopped and you could finally take a breather. You walked over to Beppi and right beside him lay his soul contract. You took it and rolled it up with care. You then started to walk over to the ice cream stand for a refresher and tryed your best to not get overwhelmed by the carousal that was falling apart behind you. Before you left though, you said "Goodbye Beppi see you after I kill the Devil." You turned around to walk to the ice cream place. You couldn't see it but Beppi smiled a nice smile when you left with what you said.
