《Kamikaze's POV》I usually like to sleep in late on Saturdays but to day I decided to wake up early to go for a run. I got up at around 5 cause my neighborhood is pretty dead around this time, anyways I put on some dusty sneakers and went on my way.
My mom and my step dad had fallen asleep on the couch with the tv blaring with info commercials. As I placed my hand on the door chills went running down my neck. I've never had a feeling like this before, but I shook it off and proceeded. The roads were foggy and the street lights barely made a dent in the darkness. I hoped of my porch and started to run , ive never been the athletic type but I was trying something new my therapist suggested it. I had just turned the corner passing Ms. Randolf's place she was the local B&B. By this time I was in my zone I didn't even notice the lights flickering; the only reason I stopped was because of this eerie screach that came from down the street. There was this faint black figure standing in the middle of the road, "Hello!" I yelled but the figure didn't move. How cliche of me I watch enough horror movies to know that yelling hello is never a good option.
Out of no where the figure started running towards I had not fully registered what was happening until it was a few blocks to me. I started sprinting frantically down the street but it was too late. It had done caught up to me and in on quick it had thrown me into the side of a car, my body making a dent in it as glass exploded around me.
"Fuck!" I yelled out as I gasped for the air to fill my lungs. My whole body was numb and throbbing from the agony. Before I could get to my feet the creature had it giant long fingers the felt like claws around my neck.
The creature was pale, its eyes black and lifeless, and its mouth was like it had been melted together. I tried to fight it off but started to loose consciousness, suddenly as I started to black out I saw this other figure come towards us and in an blur the blood from the monsters neck sprayed all over my face. The think black thick consistency of the blood was suffocating. Gasping for air I felt hands trying to comfort me, their touch startled me. " Hey are you OK?" He asked his voice was deep and rugged like bark on an oak tree. "Do I look ok? A fucking monster just attacked me!"
"Sorry I hadn't noticed." He said with a sarcastic tone in his voice. As I stood up he reached out his hand, " Hey let me help you up." I can take care of myself!" I hissed smacking his hand way. "It sure didn't look like from what I saw." He said jokingly. I finally look up to his face, it was like all of time had stopped when we looked into each others eyes.
It was like I saw our lives with each other for an eternity, every battle together and ever near death experience. I broke the moment when I looked away. He was just standing there as clueless as ever.
"Are you ok?" I nodded my and and started to walk away. He quickly followed. "Um... why are you following me? You can go back to where ever you magically appeared from. I'm fine more than fine actually. " I clearly wasn't and I wondered if he could tell. I started to walk a little faster almost running. "Sorry" he sighed "I just wanted to know why it attacked you. Humans aren't their primary targets."
"If I'm not human than want am I." A look of confusion plastered across my face.
