ONE YEAR LATER

Skylar's POV

I sigh and run my fingers through my hair Jeff marks another day off on the calendar and I throw another negative pregnancy test in the garbage we had been trying now for a little over a year and I could tell the tension between us was building. I sit on the edge of the bed my eyes moving back and forth as Jeff paces back and forth in front of me I bite my lip wondering what he was thinking I take a deep breath "there's still time Jeff we can still get pregnant." He shakes his head then walks over and kneels in front of me "I'm old Skylar you know there's an age difference I'm being selfish, I was selfish when I asked you to marry me this is my fault." I wrap my arms around him then start rubbing his back. "It's not your fault Jeff let's see a specialist before we start saying that." I couldn't blame him for this.

Jeff's POV

I bounce on my knee nervously while Skylar and I sit in chairs across from the fertility specialist he had our health records in front of him and the numbers from the samples he had taken from me and Skylar. She reaches over and holds my hand I squeeze hers then look at her hoping we would get good news today finally he breaks the silence in the office "To start off Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Skylar is young, healthy her samples and numbers are good she has regular courses so that's not the problem." I knew it I was the problem. "Mr. Morgan your healthy the sample we got from you was good you had very high numbers with your age I don't see any problems." So we weren't the problem he gives us advice and tells us our options we thank him then leave Skylar follows me outside to my truck.

Skylar's POV

I look at Jeff while we sit across the table from each other "What about IVF?" he shakes his head "I won't want our baby coming from a test tube." Okay so that took out that option. I look through the list to see what else we might could try I bite my lip "What about a sperm donor? We could ask someone that we know." He shakes his head "I want to get you pregnant I don't want you to have someone else's baby." That was strike two. He takes the list from me "he said we could still keep trying on our own we don't have to give up yet." I nod slowly maybe if we tried the diets and routines the specialist suggested we could get pregnant. At least we did know one thing it wasn't the age difference between us that we keeping me from getting pregnant.

Jeff's POV

I look over at Skylar while she's packing for our trip to Atlanta we were getting ready for season eight it was kicking off with the hundredth episode there was lot going on this season film wise. I run my eyes over her while she packs a tank top and a pair of shorts she looks at me "you're staring at me." I smile then walk over to her and wrap my arms around her waist. She wraps her arms around my neck and I start rubbing her sides "You're beautiful that's why I'm staring at you." She blushes then looks down at the floor I grin then kiss her head she kisses down the side of my neck and we go back to packing. I was hopeful that maybe sometime soon we would find out if we were pregnant if she wasn't yet maybe it would happen while we were in Atlanta.
