Falling towns

I'm typing. Out of the corner of my eye see a tail. I go upstairs and on to the roof of the office building--my work. Then something drops behind me. I stop and slowly turn around, I jump in surprise.

“What are you” I ask in suspense. No reply. it's hovering in the air. I turn to run but it's closing in. I'm too close to the edge of the roof. It gets closer, I look behind me and I'm at the edge of the three story building. It leaps and I fall. Falling … falling… falling… nothing.

I wake up.

“Where am I?” I asked to no one. I looked around. There are trees that are pink, birds that are the size of elephants, and fruits of variations unknown to mankind.

I sat up and fell back. The pain was excruciating and exhausting. I wanted to scream but my lungs wouldn't let me. They were holding me back. My whole body was holding me back, telling me, ‘No stay here, you are hurt!’ I sat up and then I looked around--moving my head as slow as possible. I stood up slowly, holding on to something. I look and started remembering everything. ‘Oh, that's why I hurt! duh! I fell off a three story building! How am I still alive?’. I looked around more, I was in a field, and definitely not on my planet. A butterfly landed by me. It was like a plane had just dropped next to me. Air flew in my face as it's wings flapped. I gasped in surprise and started choking on the air in my throat. It was, as you could probably guess, very uncomfortable. Thankfully it didn't last long. I was about to pinch myself, My brain told me, ‘Your dreaming, your dreaming, wake up and go home, go home to Barry and Dawn and little Lily! go home! Ivy go home!’ I pinched. “Oww! I managed to shout out. Then I jumped. I didn't tell my body to, I just did. Then I was in a town but not a normal town , an alien town. I saw dragons. The city was full of dragons. I looked at a dragon, it came right up to me and talked to me through my head. ‘You have finally come! We have brought you here, for a mission.’ I stared at it with great confusion in my eyes. Then it said. ‘Its ok you will get home.’  I sighed with a little relief and tried to keep my mind off the fact that I had just landed on some kind of alien planet. I looked deep into her eyes which   meant I was ready I to go home.

‘What you have to do is well you have to become a person…’

‘I am person.’

‘No actually, you are not... you haven't looked in a mirror yet have you?’

‘No why would I?’ I looked at the glass in a building behind me. I had ears and a tail.

‘What is wrong with me!?’ I shouted right at her face. I need to get back home, but not as a dog
