Leaving without telling

It all started a few months ago to Minghao leaving and not coming back until after a few says. I always ask where's he going but he always says,"just have to write a paper for work" or "i just have to do something for work." I also don't understand on why he's always walking to work at night when he has a car. I want answers but he comes early when I'm possibly asleep or at work. What can he possibly do this late? Is always the question I ask myself. I just wonder should I start following him or just ask until he tells. Why can't he just stay home at night anymore? Has something happened?

(FYI-you both aren't married yet😀)
