It was an unusual day when he moved to town. In our small town of Bellville, it was usually sunny and hot. But the day he came, it got dark and cold. Though I don't understand why he and his family would move to our small town. In Bellville there were only 896 people, most of them being elderly people who had lived here their entire lives. All the families have. Our families all settled her about 150 years ago and nobody has moved here since. Nobody comes and nobody leaves.

But the day I first saw him, I will never forget. It was a Wednesday at school. I was in 3rd period with my best friend Ally. I remember the teacher introducing him to us.

"Class, this is Jasper, Jasper Quill."

I looked up and saw a beautiful thing. It was too beautiful to be a person, but it was. And yet he looked strangely familiar. Like I'd known him before. In another life perhaps.

We made eye contact and he smiled at me, like he knew me too. I glanced away, my face turning red. I heard him chuckle and go to his seat, which was two rows ahead of me.

The entire class I couldn't concentrate. I just kept looking at the back of his head. His beautiful head. He had the most beautiful red curls.

When the bell rang I quickly got up to leave. I needed to leave before he came to talk to to me. As I was leaving, he grabbed my hand.

"Elizabeth."

All he said was that.

My name.

He only held my hand for a second but it felt like forever. And in those couple of seconds I saw so much.

I saw me and Jasper, but it was hundreds of years ago.. It looked like we were in the 1600s. Then it flashed to the 1800s, 1900s... But it was us. Like we had past lives and each life, we had been together.

I pulled my hand away, scared.

Jasper looked at me with confusion. He opened his mouth to speak.

"Just stay away from me. Just stay away."

I said it quite so only he could hear it. I quickly turned away and walked away.

I swiftly walked to my next class, looking down and not looking at anyone or anything.

"Elizabeth!"

I turned around and there was Dean, my boyfriend. He was about 10 feet behind me. It was easy to spot him in a crowd of people. He had the blackest hair I had ever seen and dark blue eyes. If you asked any girl in school, I was definitely a lucky girl. He was by far the hottest guy in our school, even if there was only 200 kids in it.

Dean raises his hand for me to wait for him. I ignore him and keep walking. He keeps calling my name but I don't listen.

I see the girls bathroom and I rush in before Dean can catch up to me. I go into a stall and lock the door. I sit down and just breath.

What on earth just happened? What did I just see? When I touched him I felt like I'd known him forever. Like in my past lives, I had always loved him. And only him. So when I saw Dean now, it was like he didn't even matter anymore. Like I had never loved him.

I didn't understand it at all.

I sat there for a couple more minutes before I got up and went to class.

I sat next to Ally and opened my textbook.

"Hey where did you go?"

"I just went to the bathroom."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

She looks at me with the face which reads as she doesn't believe me.

"Drop it Ally, I'm fine."

She just sighs and looks away.

The rest of the day just passes by. I just drift through classes. I don't really talk to anyone. I didn't talk to Ally or Dean.

I just thought about Jasper the whole time. I couldn't get him off my mind.

The second the last bell rang for try day, I grabbed my stuff and rushed to get home.

I get to my house and run to my room and lock the door. I opened my laptop and typed in Jasper's name.

I searched for hours, sifting through articles and pictures. I go through family trees and history books. I almost gave up when I came upon a photo. Well it was a painting really. But in this painting, there was a family standing together in their sitting room. There was about 10 of them but the one one I noticed was him.

It was him, it was Jasper.

This was a painting from the 1600s and it was him. How was that even possible?

I looked up from my laptop and glanced at the clock on the wall.

3:37a.m

Damn I had been here for over 12 hours just looking at pictures and articles about Jasper. I had a problem. And I needed answers.

Answers only Jasper could give me.
