So far I have come, yet so far I must yonder. I have seen real dragons soar directly at me from the endless blue sky. I have seen serpents dive into the abyss that seems a reflection of the sky. I have seen gods destroy and create entire planets, but still I have more to go, still I have more to learn, still my goal is not complete. This strange rocky formation should suffice for the night, or at least some of it. This place cannot be contemplated by most, the details are beyond words. Let's just say there is no such thing as safe. The dragons rule the skies here, the serpents the ocean leaving the landlord still to be found. How I wish I could just get to my goal, with minimal effort. The fire crackled beneath me, the only natural sound I had heard in a while. Why was mother nature so cruel, so testative? I guess my goal will be my answer. Food was nothing short of a challenge, nothing could be gained here without the possibility of death. However I must go on, strive through the challenges that still await me, along the timeline of destiny. My bow swaying at my side, I set of into the shadowed darkness, into the deadly unknown, what could possibly go wrong?
Death, that's what could go wrong, all around me that word was written in warm fresh blood, ignore your worries I told myself, you chose this future and it will all be worth the cost. My bow was now at the ready, slightly swaying with the breeze.
BANG
Not now, why of all times did it have to come now? There was no choice left in my position, I can only run and hope that it gets distracted by some other creature which would become its prey. The banging sound flooded my ears, as if it was the only sound that existed. Blood, tears, depression, and death. Why now? Hunger began to attack me at it's own pace. The creature began to close in. It was mocking me, I knew it could go faster. It was pulling at my fear, playing with my emotions. Focus on the distraction. Too bad I didn't focus on the ground beneath my feet. I fell, fell like a rock. The ground thousands of feet below me dwindled closer and closer. The creature's fun was over and it glided towards me as I fell with a new intension, an intention to kill. The speed of gravity's pull was faster than that of the creature I now face. My body slammed the ground hard, pain surged through my body, incredible pain, pain that made me shrivel up into a ball. The creature would be here soon if there are no other creatures around.
"Click click growl click click click" What the hell was that?
"Clack growl click snort growl growl" This couldn't be happening. There are two possibilities of what was happening around me. Either dragons had landed and were communicating, which would surely end in my death, or whatever the monster of the land was was now communicating with another of its species.

I waited till freedom slowly emerged its way through my body. Now I could move, but if they were looking at me I couldn't show signs of life. I had no choice though, their rising anger was evident in their strange language. Three two one, RUN! There was no time to turn back and check what they were, I had to keep running across the forest floor.
"Click click snort growl growl click" They didn't seem to be anymore angry then before. Maybe I was just in the right place at the right time. Feeling secure I turned around to observe the unidentified creatures.I gave a loud curse as I looked on, unfortunately this brought the attention of the dragons towards me.
They were almost as big as the mountain I fell from, they were longer than five churches lying on their sides, their very presence made me feel fear and anxiety. One was a dark blood red, with bleeding injuries all over and it's unmerciful eyes staring past mine and into my very soul. I felt alone, the other was grey, with striking amber eyes and the last of the three was a bice blue which was most attractive to the eye. However it's eyes were worse than the others, they were at first glance a soulless white but at second you could tell that their was a ghostly silver somewhere within them. All three looked at me with an intention to kill. They were smart as well, they wouldn't just go for the kill, they would start a battle plan and converse mentally. I brought up my bow with one trembling arm, now gravity seemed to be pulling relentlessly. The wind started kicking up, making the bow unsteady. I didn't dare avert my gaze. Any second now they would fly away to hunt me down.

Short StoryWelcome all! This is my first book (although I have a new series on the way) and I have decided that as a beginner in public writing I should write some short stories. So instead of clogging up my profile with thousands of short stories I could put...
